I researched dozens of storage boxes to find what I needed. Interior dimensions were critical to confirm it would meet my requirements, and I was very happy to see this seller clearly published interior dimensions (unlike so many others). The chest was very easy to assemble. It simply snapped together with no tools required, other than the hinge assembly. Contrary to seller's statement that two or more people were required for assembly, I assembled it myself with ease. Total assembly required about 20 minutes. As for whether it is weather / water proof, the lid overlaps a flange on the lower box. Unless you have a sideways driving rain, I would say water incursion is very unlikely. ... show more

This is terrible, do not buy. The prongs on the top do not fit (pic 2 and 3.) I tried screw driver to separate and slide in, didn’t work. Tried small hammer and sure enough the plastic top shattered. This is a lot of money for something that doesn’t fit, DO NOT BUY.

We were able to assemble it in 20 minutes; very easy. Once we put it together, we realized the storage box cover does not close properly and the corners are not flush. It’s not waterproof now that the lid isn’t closed all the way. I’m still deciding if I should return it but not sure if I can take it apart. ... show more
