I love this thing. It holds ice for at least two days even in the sun and the body, handle and lid are all nice and sturdy. Id say the big things that set this apart from cheaper bottles is the build quality and the thick, fully insulated cap. I would definitely recommend buying a silicone boot from either amazon or etsy because setting it down or bumping into anything can make a lot of noise ( I made the cap tether and boot shown in the picture, those are not included). Would absolutely recommend this!

Yeti has a reputation that is hard to beat for keeping beverages cold. Nothing we have tried compares for keeping beverages cold for long periods of time. But this thing is heavy! And after I received it, I realized that it does not fit in my refrigerator without having to reconfigure all my shelves to accommodate its' size. My bad, I should have measured. But since it keeps things cold, I can leave it out all night and it still is cold, even has ice in the morning.

You deserve this. Chances are that if you’re considering this item, you’re spending some time outside working. And you probably also buy those gallons of water in flimsy plastic jugs from the gas station…and sometimes those jugs spend time in your car which can lead to an off taste or a scratchy throat. You deserve better than that. I’ve only owned this gallon jug for about two weeks, but it’s become indispensable, especially since warm weather is finally here. I didn’t want to love it…I wanted it to just be some overrated thing that the fanboys and bros idolize. But the Yeti gallon jug (in gray) LIVES beside us now. I fill it up in the morning and sometimes again at lunch, and it’s tossed in the truck and dropped on the ground, been knocked off the tailgate and onto the cement so now it has it’s first battle scar but no change in performance. It’s beefy and heavy when filled…I need to use two hands when pouring it into the dog bowls. The magcap has already prevented me from losing the cap I don’t know how many times (thank you for that feature!) and the pour spout is small enough that if you like to chug water like that, you can, but it also allows for fast pouring into another vessel (sometimes I just use a long straw). The huge mouth and simple screw on lid makes it a breeze easy to clean…and even someone with poor upper body strength can seal it tight enough that leaks aren’t even a thought. The rubber grip on the handle makes it comfortable to carry, even with someone like me with tiny hands and wimpy arms. My only wish is that Yeti would make a boot for it…not because I worry about dinging it up, but boots make REALLY nice impromptu dog bowls and it would also add a little grip to keep it from sliding around in the truck or atv as much. Anyway, just get this…like another reviewer stated, you deserve it.

Iordered this as a gift for a friend who loves purple and needs to drink more water. I loved the color, and it seemed like it would be great at keeping a ton of ice water cold for days. Seems sturdy and easy to carry. Too bad it was missing the pour spout cover (called a mag cap) and appeared it may have been used. Keep in mind this is represented on Amazon as a brand new item, not at all discounted from the price I would pay at my local REI (They didn't have the purple in stock). The packaging was dreadful. No impact protection at all. The jug was in a plastic bag bouncing around in the shipping box with a few bubble bags shoved in one corner. Not what I'd expect for a water bottle that costs over $150 USD after taxes. As i stated already, it arrived without the mag cap so it's completely useless. There was no hole in the plastic bag it was in or the shipping box, so clearly it was shipped that way. Extremely disappointed. I'm just glad there's time before the holidays to order another.
