I don't drink water. Coffee...soft drinks...yes. Beer occasionally? Yes. But water? Tastes too much like...water. The ONLY reason I bought this bottle is because I was going on a cruise. Former cruisers recommended having a water bottle to stay hydrated since the cruiseline did not allow plastic products (water in plastic bottles) onboard. Thought it better to have a bottle and not use it than wish I had one if I needed it. An unexpected thing happened. I decided to fill the Yeti with ice and cold water. I don't know why but the water was quite cold and refreshing coming out of this bottle. So much so that I used my Yeti regularly throughout my 5 day cruise. Water remaining in the bottle from the PREVIOUS DAY was STILL cold and refreshing! I continued using my Yeti when I returned home. A few months ago an artery collapsed due to high blood pressure. I started using an organic beet supplement to assist in managing my blood pressure but I stopped using it soon after I began. I got tired of mixing it, believe it or not. When I returned home from the cruise I observed the neglected beet supplement. I added a scoot to my Yeti with ice and cold water. Shook it like a bartender mixing a drink. Cold and refreshing. I needed a stainless steel tumbler for iced coffee. Most are designed for hot coffee or water alone, which sucks because we already have tons of those from work. I wanted something that would be easy to pour in, had a tight seal, and fit in my car’s cup holder. This was a perfect match. It’s like drinking from a thick disposable water bottle. It’s so much better than straw lids and Nalgene-style openings. It’s easy to pour iced drinks into it, and I like the little handle on the lid. Nothing’s perfect, though. It’s SO heavy. I wouldn’t use this as my regular water bottle because of the heft. And the seal is so secure that it’s actually hard to unscrew the top and lid. If you have arthritis or similar concerns, this isn’t your bottle. And I wouldn’t call this a complaint, but it’s not the coldest bottle I have. (That would be the Zojirushi Stainless Mug, which still had ice 24 hours later.) The ice usually outlasts the drink, though, which often is over 8 hours. ... show more

I have the yeti traveling coffee mug and I wanted to get something similar for water. I love how easy it is to disassemble and clean, and it does a really good job keeping water cold. I put ice water in at around 6:30 AM and on my drive home at 4:00, the water is still chilled. Very good bottle, I’ll buy them for as long as they keep making them ... show more

It don’t leak at all, durability is great, It feels heavy but it don’t feel heavy anymore as soon as u start holding it from the top. Wtv temperature drink u put in it will last fs! Put you a nice cold drink in there, it’ll be lasting for as long as u can rmr, goes with the hot drink as well. The YETI Rambler 18 oz Bottle, Vacuum Insulated, Stainless Steel with Chug Cap is the "goldilocks" Yeti you've been dreaming about. It is the perfect size for daily use. Yes, you have to unscrew the top to drink, but this top offers a great (and unique) handhold. The removable Chug Cap ensures that you can drink out of the bottle and still clean it completely between uses. In my unofficial tests, ice remains in the bottle for 24 hours or so (when all I really need is 12 hours at most). I also purchased the screw-on top with a handle with integrated straw. My neck was hurt from an auto accident and pulling my head back and lifting a water bottle up is uncomfortable and can be distracting to others in public - especially church and office meetings. I love this combo!
