This is my second Yeti, the first was a birthday gift. After owning that I had to get another, but smaller size. This one is like 15 ounce or so with a mag slider. The mag slider is improved over the old style, makes cleaning much easier! It’s not as leak resistant as the old style because now you only have the top magnet stopping liquids. The old style had a piece on the inside and outside. More protection but more tiny spaces to collect junk. It was a fair trade off I think. The mug itself is great, nice solid feel, holds up really well to the vigors of daily use. This is “my” cup, so I often just clean and reuse for whatever Im drinking, makes no difference. The other thing I’ve noticed is that it does not seem to keep my coffee as hot as long as my old one. The lid on these newer ones seem a bit thinner on the plastic. Not a lot, but enough so I noticed. Between that and just one layer for the lock, I think it’s not as heat holding friendly as the older style lids. Now cold is another story, it keeps stuff cold a long time, I have no complaints there. Overall this is a killer mug. I love my Yeti mugs and Im sure I’ll be buying more for myself and my family. These are well worth the money spent and hold up really well.

Got this mug for my wife and she likes it a lot. She likes how it keeps her tea warm for a long time. I personally been using a Yeti mug at work for a few years too and I love it. I tend to spill coffee a lot on my desk and have been known to short out a keyboard or two. The lid and wide body of the mug has kept me spill free. The slide cover on the lid is magnetic and easy to remove and clean. Your coffee will eventually go warm if you leave it all day, but it will keep it warm enough for a few hours.

I purchased this Tumblr specifically for my coffee. It is a nice size at 14 ounces and it has a very sturdy handle on the side. It keeps my coffee hot longer, there’s no way I can spill this cup. It’s not top-heavy, I tried putting water in it and turning it upside down With the magnetic closure, and nothing spilled out at all. I am very pleased with the product!

I've been skeptical of Yeti products being worth the price, so I have avoided them for years, but since I started drinking coffee in the morning, I needed a mug that kept it warm, and had a lid to help prevent or at least minimize spills, and this fit the bill. I don't like the type with screw on lids, this rubber gasket seal is much more pleasant. It keeps the coffee hot for hours, and then warm for hours, so if you sip your coffee for a long time like I do, you can rest assured you won't end up with an iced coffee by the time your first morning meeting ends. The price seemed on par with other double wall stainless steel mugs, and the popularity of Yeti reassured me a lot more than some no-name brand for almost the same cost. No nonsense simple product, it's a mug with a good sized handle, and a lid, the rubber gasket and sliding magnet to seal the drinking hole are easy to clean (the magnet part pops off so you can clean any coffee that gets under it). Liked it so much I bought a second one.

I was sluggish in purchasing this because I didn't know if I could believe the hype. My FIL got one and loved it so it was time for me to try it. I use it at home all the time now. It keeps the coffee warm long enough for me to actually enjoy it. I leave the lid on but usually don't have the magnetic closer on unless i'm walking about. I love the option of having it on or off. Even drinking out of the mug without the lid on is a pleasure. The lid does loose a lot of heat, but it's really not an issue. My coffee has been staying warm long enough for me to drink it. I'm willing to bet it's not as good as a travel mug, but that doesn't matter. This mug is very versatile and fits well in a pod type brewer.

You cannot go wrong with a YETI. Its purpose: durability, style, maintaining temperature. If you like hot coffee, a YETI will keep it hot in cold environments. If you like cold, iced beverages, a YETI will keep that ice frozen for a long time so you can enjoy a nice cold sip (or chug) on a hot summer day. Note: Avoid putting liquor in your YETI. I made a few smoky margaritas in mine over the summer. It was the same YETI I take to work with me. Well, I was sipping away and had to check to make sure I didn’t have mezcal in the cup. They tend to retain the fragrance and a very subtle taste of mezcal. I haven’t had used it for any other type of liquor so I can’t attest to the broad spectrum of spirits. After a few dozen washes I think it’s either gone or I don’t notice it anymore.

Pros: This is so good at keeping drinks hot! We have also placed this cup in a stroller and it has tipped multiple times without spilling. The easy to clean features are very helpful and my husband and I enjoy using it. The color is beautiful and it’s very sturdy. Cons: It’s too big to fit in our cup holder. I knew it would be because I measured it, but it is an inconvenience. The handle is hard to hold because it seems small for how heavy the cup gets. I would have bought the smaller one but my husband says it fits a perfect amount of coffee in it. The bigger size isn’t a deal breaker since it works well and doesn’t spill but I personally would have gotten a less clunky one.
