Had bought the yeswelder cheaper helmet, wasn’t very impressed. Head gear broke, autoshade stopped working, disappointed for sure. But their customer service is top notch!! Replaced whole helmet no questions just had to email copy of Amazon order. Anyways. Trying to make long story short, it was time to order new lenses and head gear cause surprise…. It broke again.. said well I’ll try the “next step up”. This damn thing is amazing! Awesome colors from the auto shade, the side view is awesome ( caught some co workers shenanigans! They won’t be trying that again!) and the head gear feels more robust! With the awesome customer service and trying two different styles from them, I’d 100% suggest the little extra cost and get this helmet!!

I've used a lot of helmets over the years. This is by far my favorite. Mig welded some tricky small tubing over the weekend and used this helmet for 3-4 hours. Worked great. The ability to see color instead of shades of green is something you don't appreciate until you use it. The side viewing ports are something i like as it gives you peripheral vision, which I think is a good safety feature. Knob at your left temple makes adjustment of the shade easy over a wide range, even though I didn't really need to use it much once set. This helmet worked so well that I could forget I was wearing it. Very pleased, especially for the price. Both the pre-installed battery and the spare were too low on charge when I received them to activate the lens, but after placing under a bright light overnight, it worked fine. Ordered a few spares anyway. They are cheap. Nice that you get spare outer and inner shields. Nice that you can order a magnifier lens that slides in. Works fine if you wear glasses as well. Also an attractive helmet. Took a little trial and error to get it adjusted properly for my big head, but once I got it, it was comfortable to wear. So I really like the helmet and consider it a good value. No hesitation recommending it to others.

Have considered one of these for years. Had this on my wish list for a long time, finally got it. Now I can't figure why I waited so long. This thing is awesome. Multiple adjustment options made it easy to get the perfect fit and tension. The screen settings let you tweak the brightness to suit any task in the shop, and the screen clarity is incredible. Push the test button to check the battery, then game on. My weld quality and accuracy have never been better. It is absolutely amazing what a full color daylight view can do for your work.

The strap broke on the first helmet I bought. They processed the return and sent me a brand new one before I even returned it. Excellent helmet for the price, works really well. Very comfortable too. Would recommend.

I'm going to give an honest review here. I've used various helmets over the years. Older style helmets solid lens, harbor freight auto-darkening, mid range, and top end name brand helmets. This one is probably the best helmet I've ever used, with a couple of asterisks next to that statement. First off, the lens. Clear and untinted with a wide view angle. You can see everything before welding. It gives almost the same view as if you were wearing a motorcycle helmet. It darkens very quickly, and with a range wide enough to weld at almost any amperage with the perfect view. The selection of weld/cut/grind modes seems to be nearly perfect in their function. Easily one of the best lenses and views on the market. This leaves us with the only downside, the strap. Keep in mind, this ain't a major downside. The strap is much better than any cheaper helmet by a wide margin, making it the best bang for the buck. The knobs to tighten it feel just a touch cheap, but work OK, and it is placed in a very slightly awkward place in the helmet. The only time you'll notice this is if you like to wear your band up higher on your helmet, as it'll put the lens close enough to your face when you flip it down to touch your nose. Almost all helmets do this, but even 1/4" of a difference is noticeable when it comes to strap placement. Simple fix, wear the strap lower on your forehead.

I’m new to welding and already wear glasses and can’t see well … I got this helmet bc of all the good reviews and just in case I did not like welding. I like welding and want to do better . Definitely worth getting a Lincoln helmet or miller helmet over this one . They aren’t that much more money and they are way better for vision of your work. Don’t cheap out on welding hoods, learned my lesson
