  • It is a quality Helmet that works perfectly,, and the price won"tkkill your budget.
Style: LYG-M800H
It arrived the next day after placing the order. The helmet build seems solid with plenty of room for my respirator. It took a couple of minutes reading the instructions, but I figured out the settings. Once I started to run a bead it was evident that this helmet was a game changer. The field of view is amazing, but when you see the Tru Color and the clarity of the view! Wow it is something to behold. The control knobs are on the outside of the helmet, and very easy to adjust on the fly. the test button is on the inside which is nice that it is cause once you test, it is out of the way. The knobs that lock the helmet up really need to be tight, the sweet spot that holds it up and still lets you flip it down can be elusive. BUT with the view through the lens, I find I put it down and go to work. There is no need to do a lot of flipping. Its is a quality Helmet that works perfectly, the price is right, the build quality is evident, and the spare screen protectors are a plus. Get one! ... show more

  • Great shield for the price. Punching above its weight class

Works well and great bang for the buck. Obviously not the best out there but great for an at home welder or an entry level work helmet for someone starting out.

  • Great for the price.
Style: LYG-M800H-A
This hood is great for the price. Is it Lincoln quality? Heck no. But Lincoln is 500 bucks for the same features. Like others said, the headgear is just OK. It’s thin stiff plastic but it does work. I mean, how much do you adjust your headgear after it’s set? Compared to my LE Viking, the plastic of the hood is very thin and flexible. My biggest complaint is how narrow the screen is. Feel like I go cross eyed when welding sometimes. My second biggest complaint is the location of the selector switch to change to grind mode. No way you can select it with gloves on without accidentally changing the shade or delay. But I do like it has grind mode switch separate from shade unlike my Lincoln. Both would be better with a large push click in button instead. I wouldn’t pay over 60 bucks for this hood. I am sending it back and have ordered the YesWeld panoramic with a light to see how it is. If it’s better, I will keep that one. If my older LE Viking had LE version of true vision, I wouldn’t even be here. And I’m for sure not spending 500 for a hood to play on my welder in my garage every once in a while. ... show more

  • 2nd purchase. Highly satisfied.
Style: LYG-M800H
This is my second Yeswelder helmet. I got it because after 2 years, the battery needed changing and is somewhat difficult to do. The upgraded model (LY800) has an easy access battery. And with coupon, cheaper than the older model. Other reviews that claim it’s flimsy, cheap materials, have the wrong expectation. It’s low cost, lightweight eye protection for welding. Not a hard hat for head protection. If you weld for hours, daily, maybe this isn’t the helmet for you. Otherwise, it lightweight, comfortable, and works. What more is needed? Highly recommended! ... show more

  • I'm happy with it
Style: LYG-M800H
Just starting out using a Lincoln "tombstone" AC/DC welder to expand my weekend hobbies. I had this one reccomended to me as a good helmet that's not too expensive. It has a great response time, lot's of adjustment, and so far I'm very happy. I had some molten metal splash down on it while i was under a car and it rolled right off w/o burning through. After that i picked up some face and arm protection, but I'm happy! There is a large coin battery that operates it hood, and so far it looks to be identical to the one in my winch remote, and available at the local tractor supply store! I also looked at the harborfreight model, this one has a much larger viewing area, but that's also part of the reason why i bought this one vs some other options that could be had in a short time-frame. Really the only thing i don't like about it is the somewhat cheap looking finish on the helmet, it looks like cheap china plastic. However it did deflect molten metal w/o leaving a mark. I'll also note that one of my led garage lights will trigger the sensor and darken the hood. It makes me wonder how the sensor works, and how eye safe that light is. I now just use that light to be sure the helmet is working before i attempt to weld something. It also tells me that i should use the helmet bag that it comes with to prevent wearing down the battery. ... show more

  • Great Optics
Style: LYG-M800H
I bought this brand a few years ago, got good service but the head straps eventually gave out. Then got a Harbor F helmet in the same price range...never could see well with it. Impossible to get the settings to let enough light in while MIG welding and over time it became totally useless. I'm delighted with this recent purchase in that the ability to clearly see the arc and surrounding area is perfect. The headband while well designed for function and comfort, is flimsy and will require careful treatment to last. Not nearly sturdy enough for daily use. I am just a hobbiest. ... show more

  • Great product, highly recommend
Style: LYG-M800H-CP
Awesome, very adjustable and the larger screen feels like you don’t have a mask on. Sturdy on your head and well built, had it for 6 months and done multiple project with it and it’s still working great. And you really can’t beat the price. Going to your local box store you would pay the same amount if not more for an inferior product ... show more
