  • YESWELDER Auto Darkening Welding Helmet with Fan and Light
Style: LYG-W700A
I've been using the YESWELDER Auto Darkening Welding Helmet with Fan and Light for a while now, and overall, I'm impressed with its performance. Pros: Built-In Fan: The fan feature is a game-changer. It helps keep the interior of the helmet cool, which is especially beneficial during long welding sessions. It also reduces fogging, ensuring a clear view at all times. Integrated Light: The light is more helpful than I initially expected. It provides excellent visibility, making it easier to see the work area in low-light conditions. This feature really adds to the overall convenience and usability of the helmet. True Color View: The true color lens gives a clear and accurate view, which has made my work more precise. Colors are more natural, and the visibility is better compared to traditional green lenses. 4 Arc Sensors: The 4 arc sensors ensure reliable and responsive darkening. I've experienced consistent performance with various welding processes, including TIG, MIG, and ARC. Cons: Weight: The helmet is a bit heavier compared to other models I've used, which can lead to some neck fatigue during extended use. However, the added features like the fan and light justify the extra weight. Battery Life: The fan and light drain the battery relatively quickly, so it's important to keep spare batteries on hand if you're planning a long day of work. Conclusion: The YESWELDER Auto Darkening Welding Helmet with Fan and Light is a solid investment for anyone who welds frequently. The combination of the fan and light features, along with the true color view and reliable arc sensors, makes this helmet stand out. While it has a few minor drawbacks, they are outweighed by the convenience and performance it offers. ... show more

  • It's not heavy. It just looks that way.

This welding mask is great. I already have one just like it at home, and now I've bought a second one for work trips.

  • Decent helmet if you don’t wear glasses Decent helmet if you don’t wear glasses
Style: LYG-26800F
Bought this along with two other Yeswelder helmets and an ArcCaptain helmet. All of which have the larger viewing lens. I needed to see In real time if the helmet would work with my eyeglasses. So I bought all four to try on. My previous helmet was a cheaper YesWelder that had a smaller lens, fogged easily in humidity and I struggled to see my welds. This particular helmet has the same cheaper head strap design and tightening knob in the back. It works for me as a diy welder. The strap on every helmet I bought, arrived warped out of shape. This helmets outter design while cool to look at, causes the inside lens be closer to your face. See the pic with the spot where my nose was touching the lens. After several adjustments, I was able to get out it on with my prescription glasses but the design with the two electronic packs on both sides, is a real challenge to wear this helmet with glasses. The viewing area was decent but I ended up going with the ArcCaptain in the end, which has better internal clearance, better view and adjustment knob. I didn’t choose to keep this helmet but it seemed like a decent option for the price and the outter design was my favorite of all but cool didn’t win me over. For the price, this is a decent helmet overall. Especially if you don’t wear prescription glasses and even worse with bifocals. In the third pic you can see a comparison of internal space with this helmet on the right and another Yeswelder on the left. ... show more

  • Just take a chance and try it. You will be amazed. Just take a chance and try it. You will be amazed.
When I saw this futuristic orange thing it caught my eye not only in specs and design but it had to be a lump of dump for the price. It was just too low of a price to compare to $400-600 welding helmets. With much hesitation I purchased it expecting to return it but when I received it I was kinda shocked to see what it was capable of. I have 4 other helmets, Harbor Break basic, Daco Pro, Midline Hobart helmet and a Midline Lincoln helmet. I have never used one of my other helmets since that day. The color and clarity is astounding. I can literally work with my helmet on and it doesn’t matter what the lighting is I see almost regular. When the lens activates it kinda scares you because it seems like your seeing to much detail and color. It took my welding to a new level because I could actually see well. I let my wife try the old helmets and then the new one and her only words were, how have you been welding if you couldn’t see anything. The reviews are kinda screwy and you’ll read about bad head piece but it’s a different model. It’s sturdy the whole thing has held up extremely well and the way the lens cover is designed prohibits smoke and grime from getting to the lenses. The batteries and the extra batteries are worthless and shouldn’t even bother with them. The unit cleans up nicely with degreaser and I am just amazed at the price and value you get with this item. The pics I uploaded are after my helmet got muddy with the monsoons but a wipe to the shirt and it’s still heads and tails above the rest. In my opinion this was and continues to be a great value and one of my favorite purchases from Amazon as of yet. Update as of 12.22.23 I was able to get my second one for even less. I spent $130 on my first one and I only swallowed hard because of my lack of knowledge of the brand and the hassle of yet another trip to the UPS store. Fast forward and I needed to make a few really good looking welds on a ongoing functional art project and couldn’t recall where I had stored my last supplied lens replacement (3rd) and they were out of stock on Amazon for a replacement set. So now years later and after the great reset of the old world I was eager to replace my old mask that is now sown together with 14 gauge copper cord from some scrap romex wire after a bag of concrete crushed my helmet completely above and below the lens diagonally split and not wanting to try to epoxy the seam together which would allow for it to contour in from the lens assembly again because I would have to place patches over the graphics on the exterior as well as the interior for it to work well. So I took a brazing rod heated it up and melted a whole on either side of the split every 1/2 inch and with little U’s I bent out of the copper wire would sow the helmet together with every twist. It is cool looking ( will try to remember to upload picture) but not being able to find lens replacements or order new ones and not wanting to stare through scratched lenses and concrete powder for this death match of a weld I was planning searched for the helmet again assuming it would be twice the price I originally paid but absolutely ok with the imagined inflated price of say $260 I couldn’t believe it was even less. Almost well not almost but half the price I first paid. $130 initially and now $89 and even still offered a $10 off coupon. Ok so the first one I loved and thought it was perfect but in actuality the batteries they included were trash and even after replacing them their onboard solar charging circuitry was trash. The integrity of the mask overall was a little bit flimsy after it would sit but a foot away as I try to beat the duty cycle to lay a perfect 48 in bead on some 3/8 in plate in a single pass flux core style. The mask would have done a dab if I turned quickly. Also the knob to tighten the head set against the back lobe of your head would on occasion loosen by it self. But the mask was a steal so now even cheaper didn’t even care for these little annoyances that only surfaced with many miles (except for the crappy charging of crappy batteries were day oners). So it seems this totally typical Chinese company that brain washes you to accept their mediocre product by proclaiming yes to welding somehow has redesigned all of those flaws that I had experienced and a few others that I could now reduce and remade this thing and lowered the price by 40%. I was blown away so I said Yes welder bought a welder and a couple plasma cutters from them too. Everything they make is so impressively built and priced that sometimes when I’m bragging I tell people I’m Chinese like my new welding stuff. That was a lot of typing on a phone yo and they made me do it. Figuratively yo. And like 5 periods. Like I said I’m awesome and I’m Chinese just like my Yes welding stuff yo. ... show more

  • Improved my work day one!
This thing is beyond cool. Light and easy to pull on and off. Visibility off the charts. Virtually instant transition to your dark setting and fully adjustable light blocking. The side windows allow for increased observation of one’s environment which adds a safety layer. Switch to grinder mode to safely see as sparks fly. Not only are batteries included but they sent extras. As a welding student, this tool is a must. Even has a soft backpack carrier. Note: not good for solar eclipses. ... show more

  • Great hood, great price..
Style: LYG-W700A
I had this on my list for a while, but never bought it. Then my son surprised me for father's day and bought it for me.. I was pleasantly surprised with the head gear and how comfortable it is. It's not true clear glass so it still has the green hue, but the fan is a game changer.. I tend to sweat a lot, and fog up my miller hood. This has just enough air flow to not fog up, and also when welding galv it keeps the smoke out of the hood.. I left the fan on once, and the next day the battery was dead.. but with the solar panels, it was charged enough in two hours to use for the rest of the day.. I've only had this hood a few months but so far it's holding up well to daily use.. I definitely recommend! ... show more

  • Worked great until it didn't.
Purchased EH-091XL in September. Very good clarity and fairly comfortable. Outer controls took some getting used to but once you memorize them it works well when switching between welding and plasma cutting/ oxy cutting. Not a single problem until I replaced the outer lens cover after 7 months of normal use. Now it flickers constantly. Completely unusable for anything that needs darkening. Replaced the poorly soldered wires that broke off of the circuit board on the side controls when I changed the lens cover. Still worthless. New batteries and resets do nothing. If a helmet can't survive gently replacing a consumable, it's designed very poorly. Also, even though they claim to be selling a 1/1/1/1 helmet, it's very clearly labeled 1/1/1/2 on the spec sticker. False claims and fragile design. Spend the extra money for something better. ... show more

  • low battery life and UV/infrared problems
Style: LYG-0V-900B
The helmet has low battery life and UV/infrared problems at the front bottom where the two halves meet. Strap broke once as well. The hole cutouts are to large near the ratcheting knob. Bad design. The clear lenses are good and the digital one also is fine. Not worth $200 plus. Should be downgraded to $50. ... show more
