It has fantastic dodgeball type grips, is filled about 85% with sand, able to be slammed extremely hard against the ground without issue. Of all the medicine balls I've used, this one is overall the best. It's about the size of a basketball, which is ideal for this item. Highly recommend the 20lb slam ball. If you like to slam your balls around , it’s just for you! The 25lb one is pretty dense good for slamming and scaring the dogs. The 15 lb one I can feel the sand moving and shifting in it more. Good texture. Durable thus far. I use it for a variety of exercises. Good for ab workouts.

I have developed some twinges in my shoulders from sitting online and at my computer mouse and keyboard that have gotten worse over the pandemic. I try to do exercises and stretches and they do help very much. I wanted to test whether exercising with a medicine ball could help so I chose this moderately priced medicine ball. When I pick this up and move it around in a natural way it seems to strengthen my arms and shoulders and even transmit down to my chest and abdomen, and reduce the discomfort in my shoulders. I am pleasantly surprised and have incorporated grabbing this ball and moving it around a few times a week into a loose exercise regime and it seems to help with stengthening, stretching and loosening my upper body.
