I thought this ring would have a designated spot for gripping onto it. It does not. The entire ring is completely smooth. I mean, it has some lines for design, but no place is made to hold it while using it. That makes this a serious hazard to use when working out. If I am going to be lifting a ten pound weight up, down, and around; I want the assurance that I have a strong grip on it. Otherwise, I am risking dropping it on my foot, and countless other hazards. The smooth surface makes it very possible for sweaty hands to lose their grip. I don't think I want to risk using this in my workout routine. It seems like it is well made, but for something like this, a way to keep a good hold on it is essential. ... show more

One of my favorite home gym items of 2023. The quality on this ring is astounding and I am definitely going to be buying a second one. I tie a small tree swing strap around it and also use it as a cable attachment. Fantastic fitness item that serves all levels of athletes!!!!

I hadn't seen these before but apparently it's called a bala ring - don't know if that's a brand name but I found a bunch of workouts on YT for it. I was drawn to it because I've been thinking about getting a kettlebell, but with an old injury affecting my pelvis and obliques I wasn't sure the kettlebell was the right thing for me. This offers just a slightly different way to use it and the wide wheel style feels a little safer to me starting out. I'm a chiropractor and mostly do yoga but need a little more weight intensity so I'm looking forward to using this more and learning more about how it can help me and patients too. I typically use a weighted medicine ball and a slam ball - I now have this weighted ring and it fits right in with my regimen. I have been using the Power Ring for the last week like a kettlebell and a barbell, and it has helped with my grip strength and improved my workouts. OK, look... there is nothing exciting about this... it's a 10 pound workout weight in the shape of a circle... I gave the rating some exclamation points for pizazz because I didn't know what else to do for it. It's perfect for what it is: it weights 10 pounds (I verified it) and in a circle you can grab it in a wide variety of weighs (see the little pun there?) and use it to work out... there is really no other way I know to make this is review more or less than it is...
