The overall design is very good, with the screw in clamps working just as intended. I was worried at first, but after using the barbell a few times, i realized that it is quite sturdy. For the price of ~$20, it is really good in terms of value compared to other bars on the market; only problem I have is it is quite inconvenient to take off, as one side of the dumbbells that I attach the barbell to will start sliding around as I try to take it off. addition 1 - after using for more time, I am now taking off a star because it is just so inconvenient and hard to figure out how to take off and put on the barbell to the adjustable dumbbells. One side will screw in, the other won't, and it's just a mess for a few minutes before I get it working by luck. ... show more

This is my second set from Yes4all. I got the second pair for faster drop sets. They're sturdy, for the most part. The "most part" is just the paint job. The paint isn't anything special. The only part peeling is the star locks though.
