Update: I've had this helmet more than 3 years. It's still my favorite of any helmet I've owned. Very durable, too. It's time to replace mine, because one of the vent pieces is getting loose and the noise is distracting when I'm riding, but for the price, I'm very satisfied with how long it lasted. Previous review: I bought this helmet because I have been using half helmets with my Harley, but wasn’t satisfied with the way the BOOM headset/mics attached. I don’t wear a full face except when it’s very cold, which is rare here in the desert of Arizona. I had to cut away a small piece of the plastic facia n one side to properly fit the BOOM mount, but it was not anything structural, only cosmetic to the helmet. The helmet’s features are great. The XXL fits my large head very comfortably. It’s light. The clear full visor can be left in the UP position for an entire ride, the wind doesn’t grab it at all, in my experience. The tinted short, hidden visor is a great feature that I use often. It is extremely easy to deploy or hide away, after a few times to get used to the location of the lever. The built in vents help keep my head cool even on hot days. The helmet looks great, as well. The quality appears top notch, and I am extremely happy with the value for the low price. ... show more

It was a little tight at first, but a week after wearing it got it just right. Like the others have said, I wish the tinted visor was about 1 inch lower, but not worth removing a star over as I usually wear sunglasses with this anyway. Great helmet and has a nice style.

No way of knowing how it will hold up in an actual crash situation, the unit itself seems a bit light. But this is our summer helmet and so far we love them. (His and hers). Where I live (Bermuda) we use these style helmets all the time. Riding mopeds (50 cc - 150 cc) is a huge mode of transportation here and helmets are required by law. Dot approved helmets are top of the list here. The problem is we don't carry enough product for consumer demand so I ordered this helmet here on Amazon. It's a very nice helmet. The matte black is gorgeous and it even came with some reflective stickers. I could tell right away this is a strong, sturdy helmet. I've been wearing them for over 32 years now. It fits as expected. I wear a medium, I ordered a medium, I received a medium, and it fits me perfectly. The padding inside was a pleasant surprise! It is well padded and VERY comfortable. The clear visor is crystal clear and the dark, retractable shaded visor is nice and dark (perfect for here) and retracts smoothly and quietly. I am very pleased with my new helmet and will probably order it again if I have to. But I have a feeling that this one will last me a long, long time providing I don't lose it or it gets stolen ... Most helmets are too heavy and uncomfortable. I like this one when using a 3/4 hood. Mostly when going on long trips that rain may be an issue and also nights when bugs can be an issue. It's a lot more comfortable than any other I've owned.

This helmet fits nicely, the quick release strap is perfect. Love that it has two visors...a shaded one to keep the sun out of your eyes that can easily be flipped open or closed with a small lever on the helmet. This helmet is lightweight and comfortable
