We love having friends and family over for dinner every week and while we prefer red wines for most occasions, several of our friends prefer whites. While I try to have a bottle chilling in the fridge most of the time so we have one ready when guests arrive, I can forget in the midst of hectic house and food prep for their arrival. I thought if we had a wine fridge it would cover me when I forget so we'd have chilled white on hand. We don't have room for a large size wine fridge in or near our kitchen or family room, but something smaller was an option. I came across this mini wine cellar on Amazon and thought it might work for our space and I was right. The petite fridge arrived very well packed in styrofoam on all sides. Despite its size, it was very lightweight to move and set into place. The door opens and closes smoothly and seals well. The glass is triple paned with UV protection, so you could use the cellar outdoors on a sun porch or covered patio without concern for sun exposure. The instructions indicate that the cellar should sit upright for 24 hours prior to plugging it in for the refrigerant to settle, so we did. The next day upon plugin, prior to setting the thermostat, the temperature read the ambient room temperature of 70 degrees. The instructions recommend cooling the fridge prior to filling it so we set the temp to 45 degrees Fahrenheit and let it sit. The panel is very intuitive. Press the F/C tab to toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius, the light bulb icon to turn on the blue interior light, and the the "+" and "-" to set the temperature. It took about half an hour for the cellar to drop from 70 to 45 degrees. Filling it with room temperature wine warmed up the fridge's temperature temporarily to 59 degrees, and it took about four hours for the fridge to return to 45 degrees as it cooled the wine. Our favorite white has a very long neck, but the wine cellar's depth allowed us to refrigerate it without issue as the front door indents outward to allow for longer necked bottles. We now have 6 perfectly chilled options of wine for guests on hand and situated next to a chair in our family room, it serves as a chair side table with a few coasters on top . This is an excellent quality cellar and meets our need here perfectly and I can highly recommend this brand to you.

If you are not familiar with Amazon Vine, it is basically Amazon trading free* products for honest reviews. I do my best to make my reviews honest, real and value-oriented as if I had paid for each item I receive. * These items are not totally free as Vine members pay income tax on the items they receive. I only mention this because we Viners do have some skin in the game for each item we order. Why I ordered this item: I have a small apartment and I've been wanting to get into wine collecting but don't have space for a huge wine fridge. This looked like it would fit perfectly in my kitchen corner without taking up too much room. Likes: * The size is rad for small spaces. I was able to tuck this right next to my regular fridge and it doesn't stick out or look wonky at all. * I can set the temp anywhere from the high 30s to the mid 60s and it stays put. The digital display on the door makes it super easy to check and adjust. * I plugged it in, let it sit upright for a day like the instructions said, and it was cooling down within a few hours. * The blue LED lighting inside looks snazzy. It makes the bottles look really nice when you open the door and it's not too bright or anything. No likes: * Build quality is flimsy. The whole thing feels lightweight and cheap. The door handle feels like it could break if you're not careful with it. * The shelves scratch really easily. I noticed marks on them just from sliding bottles in and out normally. The metal coating comes off pretty quick. * It's not terrible but you can definitely hear the compressor kick on and off. Would I pay full price for this product: Yes, but barely. Final thoughts: It does what I need it to do for wine storage but the build quality makes me worry about how long it will last.

This small wine fridge has been a really nice upgrade for keeping a few favorite bottles ready to go without rearranging my main refrigerator. The freestanding design makes placement simple because it tucks in easily next to a sideboard or into a corner, and the black finish helps it blend in so it looks more like a little wine cabinet than an appliance. The glass door lets me see everything at a glance, and the straightforward temperature controls on the front make it easy to set the range between 38 and 65 degrees so I can keep reds and whites at a comfortable serving temperature without guessing. The compressor cooling has kept the temperature steady in my experience, and it runs quietly enough that it does not distract from a movie or a relaxed evening on the couch. I like that the shelves can be moved to handle different bottle shapes, and when the bottles are lined up inside it gives the room a slightly more polished feel, like a casual little tasting nook instead of just a random spot to stash drinks. For anyone who enjoys having a small selection of wine ready to pour without turning the kitchen upside down, this compact fridge does the job very well and might even make you feel a bit fancier than you actually are on a Tuesday night.

I got this in a smaller, 6 bottle version, which isn't currently listed here. It appears to be the same, just smaller. This is a nice looking wine refrigerator, with a solid metal body and a thick glass door. The cooling compressor runs quietly, with little vibration and it is very efficient. Controlling this is easy and intuitive. This has a led temp display, which can be controlled with the touch panel. This can be set at between 38 - 65 F, with 1 degree increments. It also has a cool blue led light on the inside of it, which can be turned on and off. This perfectly fits 6 wine bottles. It is compact and it matches my kitchen's aesthetic well.
