don't waist your time with these. they don't turn off and will activate regardless of bypass button. after several seconds of pushing the bypass button, the alarm goes off anyway, even when you close the door, or touch the sensors in any position. then you have to take apart to remove battery to shut them off. they will reset, but same problem occurs when you try again. ... show more

    • Get ready to have a headache
I bought these because I had to to pass a pool inspection. Good lord are they shockingly loud and intensely annoying. There is no way to turn them off once they have a battery in them. You cannot leave the door or window or gate it’s attached to open for more then 15 seconds. So you want a breeze? Sorry that window or screen door is now useless. It will terrify your pets when it does go off as it inevitably will. My dog is now scared of the back door because this went off one to many times and scared him half to death. They are also a pain in the ass to put the battery in. You need an exceptionally small screw driver. The 3M double sided sticky they give you to mount it without using screws or nails is also crap and you will end up having them fail and setting off the alarm multiple times. Good luck if you buy these. You’ll pass inspection but hate them with a passion by the time you do. ... show more

Could be one of the worst products on Amazon. If you don’t value your time this is the definition of cheap is expensive. I bought a number of these devices and out of six pieces - one was missing the second magnetic receiver one was missing the back mounting plate another was missing the the 3m double stick tape. Has to return and call customer service twice. The machined screws do not line up with the holes and the screw heads do not sufficiently cover the pre drilled holes. You also need the tiniest of Phillips head screw drivers to mesh with the screw to drive it in. This is so poorly designed that the tolerances for screwing things in is an impossibility. They also make two different size screws for this nonsense little box instead of making them all the same. Thank goodness Amazon stepped in and got me replacement parts but this is truly a piece of junk. I had bought four previously and unfortunately stayed with it instead of returning all of them and trying a different brand. Cheap is expensive. ... show more
