The pool handrail certainly covered the rail and provided a surface that was easy to install and attractive. In our Arizona sun, pool rails can be extremely hot and the Swim Time Grip keeps the surface cool and comfortable. Unfortunately, the Arizona sun also destroys material. The color was bleached from the material within a month. This probably would not happen in other parts of the country. The only thing keeping my rating from 5 stars is that the stitching on the zipper was poor and uneven. While it hasn't pulled apart after three months, I doubt that it will last a full season. ... show more

I live in Las Vegas NV. It gets extremely hot here. I couldn't touch the handrails into get in or out of the pool. I ordered these and in 2 days I opened the bag. Wrapped the fabric around the bar and zipped it up. Repeat x4 and THEY SAVED SUMMER!!!

These covers are wonderful. The only thing wrong is they faded to a light blue in less than a month. The other thing is they are kinda hard to get on the railings, but I realize they have to be tight to do their job. Works great for both ensuring a good, safe grip, and for taking care of the hot handrail problem. We wet down the handrail cover, wrapped it around the handrail (zipper side up), zipped it up (it does help to have two people) and then just rotated it until the zipper was down and out of view.
