Setup was easy then tested per instructions and it worked. A little delayed on trigger but worked. Inside alarm trigger and all was good Tried it again two days later and nothing. Wife don't trust it so I am returning but if this is just a backup to other safety measures it maybe decent as if it triggers everybody in the neighborhood knows someone is in your pool. So I installed this thing on the side of my pool, adjusted the height exactly as it says in the instructions, and turned it on. To test it out, my son (8) and sister in law (a full grown woman) jumped in the pool. They were in it for about 90 seconds before the alarm went off. In 90 seconds, my younger son would have drowned. We only turned it on 2x. Both time the alarm went off in the middle of the night. There was nothing happenning, no wind or rain. I thought I could return it, but I guess we only had 30 days. I am not happy at all.

It doesn’t fit on our above ground pool. The deck is built below top of pool like pool installers suggest. Can’t even put on platform for it to reach water. Needed it for Grandkids. Can’t send it back cause box got wet.

    • Dont waste your time, they dont work right at all.
went through 2 of these, neither worked correctly. It either goes off in mild wind or doesnt work even if im splashing the unit directly. no good. And my state requires such a device, serously, if i cant get it to activate when I enter the pool (280 lbs) how can i expect it to go off when a child enters? ... show more

    • Works as required - hard to adjust
Opened the box, read the easy to follow instructions, installed with ease, and then went thru about a hour of adjustments to get it set just right. It’s a ‘secondary’ device that my city requires now, based upon a new, absolutely stupid CA law.

    • Didn’t work for me
I returned this item. I didn’t want to drill permanent holes into my pool deck. I also found out that it wouldn’t work with my fountains and that I would need two of them to cover an 18x36 pool.

    • No installed and maybe won’t.
It has to be permanently attached to my cement around my pool which I cannot install. Also if alarm goes off I have to physically go outside and turn it off.
