Mixed half a tablespoon with a water bottle (instead of a quart like the directions say) and 3 days later my bonsai is looking much healthier! There were spots in the foliage that were yellow and some that were brown and every day since I'm seeing less and less

After my little tree went dormant over the winter, it was time to put it back out on my porch recently. It was looking a little under the weather, with slightly yellowing needles. I purchased Yamamoto’s, as it is all organic, and I think that is easier on Bonsai than chemical fertilizers. I was wondering about it smelling like fish, since fish is one of the ingredients, but, being outside, I wasn’t too concerned. I opened the product and was very pleasantly surprised. It did not smell like fish at all. It has a slightly sweet smell, not unpleasant at all. I mixed it according to the directions, and watered it. About 4 days later, the tree was completely dark green, and I think it is starting to grow. I didn’t expect this kind of response. I guess the Japanese know their bonsai better than we ever will. I’m a customer for life. On another note, the front of the bottle is in Japanese, but one of the side panels is in English with good directions. This will be the only fertilizer I will ever give to my little tree! ... show more

Added to healthy bonsai and within a week three sprouts died, not to sure whether it was this product or a mistake I made in watering. more to follow when a liottle time goes by

    • No chemicals!
This is a wonderful product! I bought it because it’s organic - I like the fact that it contains no chemicals and is all natural! I was a little apprehensive because it’s derived from fish and rice mash, but you can’t even tell!!! I will but this product again!!!
