These are sheets of 1.2mm gasket material that are made of nitrile rubber with what looks like ground up cork mixed in. I quit using natural cork gasket years ago as it seemed it was always porous and brittle. I do have pure nitrile sheet for gaskets but it's pretty floppy and tends to "squish" out. The nitrile in these sheets is a very chemical and oil resistant rubber and that's good because I primarily work on cars and farm equipment where I'm trying to keep oil in. I like the mix of materials here as the sheets are rigid enough to easily work with yet compress sufficiently to seal. The thickness I chose is perfect for my uses such as water pumps, thermostat housings, etc. The material cuts easy and it's easy to punch holes where you need them. I'll be getting more in different thicknesses.

The material is thick, resilient and easy to cut with a punch, scissors and xacto knife. The only thing missing? A heat rating. I would like to use this material as a heat insulator, but I have to do my own testing to see how high a temperature it can withstand. Otherwise very handy for making custom gaskets and heat insulators.
