this thing is a lot of fun
Style: FGDP-30
These are hard to find, and I think I got the last one that Amazon had in stock a couple of weeks ago (something that seems to be true for other online vendors as well). Here's hoping that they get another shipment. If they do and you have the urge, get it! I'm not a percussionist, but this is a great deal of fun and works well in performance or in the studio. It's got a large variety of percussion sounds and connects well to other digital devices or amplification systems. This is something too I'd like to get for grandkids who really enjoy it as well. I've had several Yamaha digital and acoustic pianos over the years. Their instruments are beautifully made, durable, and affordable in a market in which this isn't always the case. ... show more

The pads move and slide in the slots and effects it's responsiveness
Style: FGDP-30
I hate to give this a bad review.. in so many ways it could be a dream come true. It's a an perfect 10 no it's an 11 But my unit has issues The pads move and slide around in their slots, make the responsiness uneven, and some times it has triggering issues, especially when trying to play ghost notes 90% of the time it's on point but if I start playing fast movement that slide the pads back and forth it will start missing ghost notes or cross talk triggering..I'm not sure if the amount of movement is typical or if it's just my unit. With all of that said it's still a great instrument, I'll eventually return this one and get another, in hopes the next one doesn't have this issue. ... show more

Fantastic finger drum!
Style: FGDP-30
Easy to use and fun to play for experienced drummers, newbs, or kids. Battery life is good and it has a solid pro feel to it. Pads are very responsive and the built in speaker is more than adequate. Extremely portable too. I'm happy with my purchase.

Entire rubber button pad shifts back and forth!
Style: FGDP-30
As another reviewer noted and as my video shows, the entire rubber set of buttons on the drum kit pad shifts back and forth only after about a week of use. This shows that the construction quality is very cheap. Luckily, I was able to exchange it within the first 30 days, but it will likely happen again. If you still plan to purchase this instrument, make sure to also buy an Assurion plan for it (may not be offered on the same purchase page but you can purchase separately from Assurion page.) ... show more

Fun But Seems Dated
Style: FGDP-30
If they did some minor upgrades it would be great. Why not include a foot switch input so you can control the kick drum to make it feel much more like an e-kit?

MICRO USB PORT WILL BREAK!!
Style: FGDP-30
Review Image by Vince
I liked this product a lot until it broke. They made the terrible decision to use flimsy micro USB port for power. Lasted about 60 days and then the USB socket broke off inside the machine. $200 product becomes garbage because of this terrible design decision. It now can't get power. I was happy with this product so I threw away the packaging and now i don't think i have any recourse to return it. DO NOT BUY THIS IF YOU NEED IT TO LAST MORE THAN A FEW MONTHS. I took a chance that this was more than a crappy toy, and now i regret it. ... show more
