Description

Perfect for the first time player or the economical hobbyist, the 800 Series Black provides fantastic tone and brilliant quality at a reasonable price. With its new scalloped bracing, Yamaha has achieved a louder and stronger sound in the low- to mid-ranges. This new bracing has created an innovative and ideal acoustic structure to maintain durability while bringing out the most sound possible. As Yamaha's 1 selling acoustic, the 800 Series Natural has a modest and conventional appearance, but don't let that fool you.PRODUCT SPECSBody Shape: Traditional WesternScale Length: 650mm (25 9/16")Body Length: 505mm (19 7/8")Total Length: 1038mm (40 7/8")Body Width: 412mm (16 1/4")Body Depth: 100-118mm (3 15/16"- 4 5/8")Nut Width: 43mm (1 11/16")Top Material: Solid SpruceBack/Sides Material: Nato/OkumeNeck Material: NatoFretboard/Bridge Material: RosewoodFretboard Radius: R400mm (23 5/8")Nut/Saddle Material: UreaBridge Pins: Black ABS with White DotTuners: Die-cast Chrome(TM29T)Body Binding: BlackSoundhole Inlay: Black & WhitePickguard: Tortoise Pattern (Black for BL color variation)Body Finish: GlossNeck Finish: MatteElectronics/Controls: NoneColor: BlackAccessories: Hex WrenchCase: None

Is it new?
The guitar came boxed and delivered in good shape, Beautiful black finish and well made. Very good sound for the price range. The finish on the guitar looks brand new, but when I put it under a light I noticed the pick guard was heavily scratched. This guitar may not be previously owned, but it has been played quite a bit at some point. I'm not sending it back because I'm happy with it. ... show more

Better than many more expensive guitars
I own many different guitars and have played many more. This Yamaha FG800 is seriously fantastic for the price point. it rivals my much more expensive Taylor. The sound is full, the lows are big and the highs are bright. I can’t say enough about this guitar. Best value out there. I’d recommend it for a beginner or for a seasoned player as a fill in guitar. The action was set well from the onset. Very easy to play. I’d recommend new strings but other than that no fault on this model. You won’t be disappointed. ... show more

This is the one...
Was lookingfor a good guitar at a reasonable price. This is what I landed on, and wow, does it fit the bill. I love this guitar. Sounds as good as much more expensive guitars and a lot better than any I have heard anywhere near the price point. Even the strings that come with it sound amazing. Well played, Yamaha, well played. ... show more
