Description

Yamaha’s DBR powered speaker systems bring excellent sound quality, reliability, and portability in three affordable models. Using the latest DSP, engineers applied our proprietary FIR-X tuning, to optimize the sound, and protection algorithms to give the DBR series class-leading maximum output power. DBR models are bi-amped, using a separate power amplifier for the woofer and the high frequency driver to deliver accurate, controlled performance. All the acoustic components were specifically designed to take full advantage of the power amplifiers and DSP, resulting in a very natural sound even at very high levels. With a simple switch, a DBR can easily be configured for use as a high performance floor monitor or great sounding main speaker making setup a snap. Add to this Yamaha’s 7 Year warranty and you can be assured a long life with great sound. Yamaha DBR series gives you the Power to Play.

Clean, Balanced Sound — Perfect Match for the Yamaha Sub After trying several different budget sound systems for our large covered outdoor patio, I finally landed on the Yamaha DBR15 paired with the Yamaha DXS15 MKII subwoofer, and this was the combination I had been looking for. The DBR15 gives me very clean, well-balanced sound with plenty of volume without getting harsh or distorted. Vocals stay clear, music sounds full, and it blends extremely well with the DXS15 MKII handling the low end. I went through multiple value-line systems trying to get good space-filling sound outdoors, and none of them really held up once I started pushing them. The Yamaha setup cost a little more than I originally planned to spend, but the difference in sound quality made it worth it. Using the threaded pole mount on the sub makes the whole setup compact and clean, and one DBR15 with one DXS15 MKII already gives me more sound than I can realistically use in my space. If you’re looking for a powered speaker that stays clean at higher volume and pairs well with a real subwoofer, the DBR15 is an excellent choice. ... show more

They are easy to haul around, easy to set up and easy to run through the FOH mixer. They are well priced, and Yamaha are pretty hard to beat at their price point. Highly recommended. ... show more

This is my first set of Dj speakers but I'm not new to the Audio world. I listened to many different brands before buying these.These speakers are LOUD and suprisingly punchy and clear.....I love them ....just add a powered sub and you're ready to rock! They'll pair we'll with a Boomy Sub!

I bought the DBR15. It's a very powerful and surprisingly light unit considering. I am comparing this to lugging around a JBL EON15 G2, which has fewer handles and weighs more. With this one, I grab both handles, hug it to my chest and walk as normal. Thank you! Sound quality is excellent. The feature of having a 3 position sound contour setting allows alternatives for boosting the highs and lows to fit the application somewhat, but it is not as flexible as having knobs for highs and lows that can each be adjusted anywhere in a range. I use the contour in the Off position - i.e. flat with no boosting on the speaker - and do my sound shaping on the input signal from a mixer. Sounds great, and I get exactly what I want. In terms of the fan based cooling, and the user manual's warning to beware of using it in environments having a lot of air-born dust and such, I just gaffers-taped a piece of air conditioner filter over the input grate. Issue solved. I have a long haired dog, which makes for a hostile environment exactly like the one they warn against. Why the 15 and not the 12 or the 10? In the music production I do, being able to deliver the power on the the bottom end is important (kick and bass). I am also not always in generously spacious venues, so the 15 can do the job without a separate sub. One less thing to lug and setup, without compromising the ability to deliver a low end that can be heard AND FELT. No regrets. There you have it! ... show more

These speakers have clarity and more volume them I could use right now. They may be a bit on the steep end price wise unless you need some serious decibels.
