I purchased the Yamaha 8" subwoofer to go with a pair of Dayton Audio B652 bookshelf speakers and powered by a Fosi Audio BT30D amplifier. The sound from the Dayton Audio speakers is quite good, but the subwoofer provided a noticeable improvement, especially in classical music and marches. Added this to a Yamaha sound bar and it makes all the difference in the world! Enhances audio on all formats ( music and spoken word) without costing a fortune. Low profile subwoofer with Yamaha quality. Works fine , I'm using it to augment 2 boston acoustics satellite speakers. Bass quality is a little loose or diffuse, but definitely OK for the price. Recommended!
