  • a great all around guitar beginners and pro's
Size: Concert Cutaway Style: Mahogany Color: Vintage Natural
this guitar is a little more pricey than others listed, but is WORTH it. a very solid guitar, and consistent. if playing-as just an acoustic, it is warm, yet sparkles. wonderful accessible action! a neck that feels right at home. This case fits it perfectly!!! (Yamaha AG3-Hard Case Concert Size Hardshell Acoustic Guitar Case) This guitar also has as a built in tuner which is at first sounds (like eh) but turns out to be a real treat to have with you all the time. the electronics are very nice sounding as well. also comes with a sound hole cover (not a coaster for your coffee) this helps if there are any feedback issues when playing out through a PA. Yamaha has made a wonderful solid guitar for playing gigs around town, or just having in your house to share with friends or family. Not to mention this guitar will hold up in any studio. you do not need a thousand$ guitar to satisfy all your needs. not cheap, but well worth every dollar. highly recommend, and the purchase through Amazon, they helped all along the way!!! ... show more

  • Excellent first impressions
Size: Dreadnought Cutaway Style: Solid Rosewood Color: Vintage Natural
So far excellent. Excited to get my new toy. Delivery by Amazon and box was in good shape. It comes in a very sturdy soft case with good padding. Would have liked to seen extra padding between the box and neck, but that's just me being a little risk focused. Tuned up quickly as the strings were slightly loose for storage. Initial sound seems very deep with lots of resonance. Haven't plugged it in yet to test the electronics. Stay tuned for more feedback :) ... show more

  • Very high value for money.
Size: Concert Cutaway Style: Solid Mahogany Color: Tobacco Sunburst
This is probably the best acoustic guitar I have ever played that is made in China. The all wood construction and quality mahogany tone wood really really gives this instrument a great sound. I have been playing on and off for 20 years and this is the best sounding acoustic I have owned. It is not a dreadnought and won't boom across a room. But you still get a balanced and suitably loud volume from this smaller body style. I am really impressed with the sound dynamics of this guitar. I purchased mine lightly used but in excellent condition. I have tried more expensive Martin and Taylor entry grade guitars and they don't come close. Unless you pay the premium for the higher end of the big two brands you are only paying for the brand. Not worth it. For a sub $1000 all solid wood guitar with a high quality electro-acoustic system, the Yamaha can't be beat. Comes with a premium gig bag. ... show more

  • Really nice guitar for the price
Size: Concert Cutaway Style: Solid Rosewood Color: Vintage Natural
Really nice guitar for the price. Great sound and playability. Has a buzz I need to deal with, which brings up the fact that Yamaha does not warrant any product that is not purchased from an authorized dealer. Overall a good guitar. Bought the AC3R and the A3M. They're both fun. AC3R sounds slightly richer and fuller. ( Rosewood vs. Mahogony) A3M has better action and plays lighter. Electronics great on both. Have had 3 guitars custom made and have purchased an assortment of other manufactured guitars, I'm happy with both of these and I suspect for the price, you would be also. ... show more

  • Gorgeous guitar
Size: Dreadnought Cutaway Style: Solid Rosewood Color: Tobacco Sunburst
Absolutely love this guitar! I am a 20 year beginner playing, and this has opened my eyes to how important finding a guitar that is right for you is! I bought a Martin D-10E a month ago. LOVED it, but after a few weeks of ownership, the neck warped beyond repair and I had to return it. I was devastated because it sounded so dang good. Then I found this guitar while researching. It has an incredible sound and is SO easy to play. The Tobacco Sunburst is gorgeous. I look forward to playing this for years to come and passing it down! ... show more

  • Nearly Perfect
Size: Dreadnought Cutaway Style: Solid Mahogany Color: Vintage Natural
Received this guitar about 3 weeks ago. I did not believe all of the positive reviews about this guitar. Most important to realize is that this guitar cannot be found to "try out" in any store that I know of in my area. This guitar far exceeded my expectations. I am but a novice player but I have literally been unable to put this guitar down. Unfortunately, due to a minor electrical problem I had to return an am in the process of re-ordering. Due to the fairly hefty price tag I felt I deserve a perfectly operating guitar out of the box and Amazon Customer service/buyer has been a pleasure to deal with thus far. This guitar is probably way better than I will ever be able to play and I see that there are "professionals" out their that use this guitar for gigs because it plays like a several grand model for half to a third of the price. I believe it based on my experience with it thus far. ... show more

  • Buzz box
Size: Dreadnought Cutaway Style: Solid Mahogany Color: Tobacco Sunburst
After a lot of research and and reading a lot a reviews my Wife decided to surprise me and ordered this guitar online. What can I say she loves me and wanted to surprise me. We got a box that looked like it had been kicked around by Godzilla. The guitar itself was not damaged but brings me to my point. I'm so dissapointed with this it's not funny. It buzzes on so many notes it will drive anyone crazy. Now my wife ordered it online. I know not what I would do but bless her heart she tried. I've been playing for 30 years and know it will take a lot of work to set it up and get it to sound half decent. Don't buy one of these online without playing it. Now I'm stuck with a 800 dollar buzz box and a sad wife. Thanks. ... show more

  • I thought I would have to return it
Size: Dreadnought Cutaway Style: Solid Mahogany Color: Tobacco Sunburst
I was looking to upgrade to a better guitar, so I watched a lot of videos and read a lot of reviews on the Internet, and I finally settled on the Yamaha A3M. I was wary about purchasing a guitar over the Internet without being able to try it first, but this guitar was not available locally, so I had no choice. Considering how much this guitar cost, I promised myself I would return it if I wasn't completely happy with it. If there was any fret or string buzz, if I didn't like the action, if there were intonation problems, if I just wasn't happy with the sound, I would return it. Dear reader, I have not returned it. I love this guitar. It cost more than twice as much as my last acoustic, and it is worth every penny. The bottom end is big without being boomy, and the top end has a beautiful chime to it. There is absolutely no buzz anywhere on the neck, and the intonation is perfect. When I strum a chord, it hits me right in the feels, which is exactly what you want when looking for a guitar. I think I got lucky, but it could just be that you really do get what you pay for. ... show more
