Bought to replace stock door so I could use while plugged into external battery. Door fits and works better than the stock battery. It fit perfects. THIS IS not a Waterproof door it is just a dust cover and holds battery in place. If you want Waterproof stick with the door that came with it.

Why GoPro doesn't have this on their cameras to start or at least throw one in for the $500 you're getting the camera for is beyond me. Get one of these it will definitely make your life easier as GoPros are known for not having the best battery life. Anytime I'm recording my son's game or whatever it is I have my power bank plugged in to be sure I don't run out of juice. ... show more

Very well made. Only reason I did not give all stars is because it has such a secure latch that you need a good fingernail to slide the latch down to open. Probably not fair to rate it three stars just because I bite my nails. But, worth noting should you be mounting it where you want to open and change a battery with one hand. Makes it much easier to charge cam on the go. Would not use if going under water, but a must for every day use. Easy to install. Would highly recommend.
