You are going to want to buy rigging bolts that are sold separately if you plan on buying the HD version to use the backing plate. Research how the HD version is installed, you will find a video on YouTube. There is a person that uses yarn through the rigging bolts, and feeds it in through the hold and then you grab the rigging bolts through the hull access. You then screw in the backing plate onto the rigging bolts and then pull the string back. Find the video, he will have detailed instructions and it is a massive help.

Parts are cheap for what you pay, not what I expected from yak attack. I reused my expensive ball bearing pulleys, but the rest is useful

I used the rigging bullets. It was easy to install with just two holes, three aren’t needed like the instructions say to do. Just snug up one bullet with a nut to hold in place, remove the other bullet, screw in the screw and repeat for the other hole. See pictures. One thing I don’t like is that the pulleys don’t spin at all on my boat after tightening them to the boat. They don't spin great even when I leave them a bit loose but what's the point of using the backing plates if you can't screw the pulley assembly to the boat snug enough that it doesn't wiggle. Other (cheaper) trolleys that I’ve installed had a frame around the pulley to prevent that from happening. The pulleys on these press up against the boat and freeze, at least on mine. I'm hoping that it still works ok since the rope slides over the low friction pulley material. I really like the clamp and padeyes. Overall, a bit disappointed but hoping it will still work ok, we'll see.

Went on a lifetime yukon. Not many flat areas to attach the system. The backing plates were the hardest part due to how my kayak is made, but still pretty easy to do. Nice heavy cord for the trolly. Had plenty of hardware to attach it to my kayak. Some of the instructions had strange wording but after watching several videos I had a pretty good idea about how to do the job. Can't wait to try it out. I may go back and silicone the screws. I guess my only complaint is there is no cool decals to put on my kayak from the purchase. Not a deal breaker on buying another system from here though.
