the instructions make this hard to set up, even though it’s an otherwise fairly easy process. once you attach the two main poles and whatever extension gets the closest to touch your ceiling, ask a friend to hold the pole while you unscrew the three screws on the bottom main pole, then loosen the aluminum cover underneath it to reveal a black large screw inside. twist your top main pole up to extend the pole height till it touches the ceiling and it’s sturdy. once pole is sturdy and straight, put the screws back in and tighten them to secure the pole height. this works just fine and then you can switch the pole from static to spinning if you wish! the fabricators really need to make more detailed instructions for this, they were very ambiguous. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Updated review at the bottom : I assembled by myself with no problem, I have popcorn ceilings and decided to put a small decorative rug under for extra protection but it’s really sturdy without it, I’ve already done a few tricks on it to test. My two concerns are one, when you go to take out the screws and twist the bottom is the inside supposed to just stay exposed like in the second picture? And Two, on static mode it still does spin slightly but I’m thinking that has to do with the exposed portion of the pole? Idk but it works great so far and is easy to move around between my living and bedroom. Highly recommend for the price🤍 Update: yes it’s literally just exposed if you have to extend it to a certain point and no there’s nothing to cover it as I asked and was told there’s nothing that they or I can do expect cover it myself, I tightened the screws for extension and it no longer spins on static mode. Still love it ________________________________________ DOUBLE UPDATE!!! 6/08 The damn pole has a part that comes up and covers the extension! I didn’t figure this out until I moved. Also for VAULTED CEILINGS you can go on Xpole and get the “ball mount”. I did have to buy another piece for it to be this tall (10ft) but I love itttt ... show more

I had an X-pole and it does the same thing! it took me about 30 mins to put together on my own is pretty simple follow the instructions and measure your floor-to-ceiling so you can be sure it fits for reference my ceiling is 8,12 ft
