I got this cat tree because my partner and I moved in together and his cats had the same one at his mom’s house. I wanted them to feel at home! They loved the one at her house but didn’t use it as much because her cat was a bully. This was easy to build, I had a 10 year old help me! It only took about 20 minutes and that’s because I wasn’t looking closely at the instructions for one of the first steps. Now, our cats are all over it and blossoming because it’s just us. Our girly sleeps on the very top bed. She scratches at the posts and at the angled scratcher. She’s also sitting in the hut as we speak. The cat hammock and rope are pretty impractical but they look nice. Our boy likes to sit on the second tallest platform and supervise me watching tv. We have it by the sliding glass door and I need to set up my bird feeder so they can have something fun to look at. This is more of a dark blue than gray, but it is a nice color. It’s very soft and the hair comes up easily with a ChomChom type lint brush or a hair rake. I’ve also vacuumed the one at my MIL’s and it worked great. Her cat threw up on the top and it cleaned right up, even after it dried. It wobbles a bit with people moving it, but with the cats it is very sturdy. They only weigh about 10lbs each. ... show more

I bought this when I had to foster a few cats when a friend of ours died. I needed to keep them separated from my dogs and cat so there wouldn’t be any injury or spraying. They had a room to themselves, but no where to get up high, or hide and scratch on. This works perfectly. It was fairly easy to assemble, though it did take a little time, and is pretty sturdy. The giant 23 pound cat gets in the top bed area easily without the whole thing tipping over. I did place it on a large rug-like cat litter mat, with nonskid backing. At times all 3 fosters have been laying or climbing on it and it doesn’t wobble or tip. I don’t have it secured to the wall, although there is a strap situation included for that purpose for added stability, but I’ve not found it necessary for these adult cats. The lock bolts aren’t covered by the carpeting on each section, so I had to pull the fabric over them as best I could but they are still exposed. These cats are older so don’t bother with them, but a younger cat might, or could hurt themselves if trying to scratch on the fabric near them. All in all I’m happy with this, and would buy it again. When looking at the reviews for this one, I started to worry and I almost bought a different one. I’m so happy that I went with this one, it’s perfect for my 3 month old cat. She loves it and it looks good (I got the dark grey). It was easy to follow the instructions to put it together, the only struggle was trying find the proper holes to put the screws through, but we eventually got it down. It’s very sturdy compared to the ones we were looking at from pet stores in our area, and for the price it’s definitely an amazing find. I highly recommend this cat tree for younger or smaller cats, some of the spaces and platforms may be too small for bigger cats. 10/10 for me! ... show more

This is my second time buying this cat tree. First one lasted about a year and a half . I had 2 cats who ended up having litter so the first one wore down a bit faster . The old cat tree was still standing but it was time to buy a new one .I'm a buyer who takes forever to make a decision on what seller to buy from because I get lost in reviews so I wrote some pros and cons for other indecisive buyers like me, hope it helps :) Pros Sturdy : has wood and the cushion is soft enough for cats not to feel it or get hurt by it Can't really feel bolts so again cats haven't gotten hurt by it Lasted me about a year and a half with multiple cats Cat tree can survive a litter of kittens Rope can be braided or tied so it last longer Dangle pom pom can be replaced with other dangle toy My male cat weighs about 13 lbs and can move without shaking the cat tree too much Cat tree comes with option to nail to wall ( I didn't really need it) Has enough space on edges to climb from other parts of cat tree with ease Has enough space to lay outside of cat cave Cats love the cave Top bed is big enough for 2 cats to cuddle on My male cat is pretty big and he can fit in the cat cave and share the top bed with my other cat Cons Dangle pom pom can be ripped off pretty easily Hammock edges can be ripped easily but can be retied After a while cats can make holes in top bed part which has cotton so be careful they don't eat it Scratching post start to unravel and the material starts coming apart Cat cave can be ripped (my cats made a giant hole on the side as another entrance lol) As scratching parts or rope start unraveling you have to make sure cats don't try to eat material (I've caught my cats playing with it) For the most part this is a pretty good cat tree for the price . Got this for the two most ungrateful roommates I have ever had. Very simple assembly, tool is included save for the screw that attaches it to the wall to stabilize it. I have a skinny old boy and a fat orange boy. Skinny old boy doesn't trust it yet, but fat and orange rubbed his face all over it for maybe 20 or 30 minutes then wandered away the first day. Since then the fat orange has been caught in all sorts of compromising positions on this thing. He is not gargantuan but does kinda hang over some of the platforms. The bed up top is a good size and so is the little house thing. Old boy has shown some interest and thanks to the little scratchy ramp its easy to get to the lower level. The hammock has been sniffed and pawed but it hangs a little looser than the one they normally use so I may tighten it up to see if they like it better. Over all, for the money its nice. The rope is holding up ok, but the fat orange loves to scratch so I will update if I have to replace it with something heavier. ... show more
