I could have sized down… but I wanted to use it both as a conventional belt on jeans/slacks/skirts… AND at my waist, over a shirt… where one sort of takes the longer tail, folds it back and behind the belted portion… so it hangs downward. Ladies… YKWIM. I was… um… much younger…. During the late 70’s and 80’s, which is when I remember that being the style. I have since seen the style come and go… sometimes just knowing how to wear things makes the difference… timeless. It is just. A. Belt. But ALWAYS USEFUL. I really like that the eyelets are black, along with the buckle. Everything looks nice, seems put together well, and doesn’t have glue slopped over the edges. No funny smells. The price is fine for the type of use it will see. It’s not meant to make a fashion statement. It’s just a cute belt… but, a belt that I needed.

The grommets are single sided, so there's no practical way they're going to stay in. As soon as the belt starts bending, physics will start pushing the grommets out. It's a major design flaw with such a simple fix, and I can't recommend it based on that. The first grommets for the size I wore fell out almost immediately. I've been working off my COVID dad bod and am now three sizes down. The second size down, one grommet fell out. The third size down, both grommets fell out. And now on the fourth, after only wearing it three times, one grommet fell out. I'm not doing any heavy activity while wearing it, it's just keeping my pants up while I sit at the computer all day. Really disappointing. But it does look great at the beginning, so it could be for a costume or something you won't wear many times.
