Just received and noticing the four levels' readings are inconsistent while laying down, which is peculiar. I understand they are Stabila's "budget" line of levels that are "repaints" of their Type 70A-2 homeowner levels, but they are still $80 as a set. Can barely use them to mark walls for installing wall anchors, because they do not have sharp/flush edges and instead rounded. I don't understand how these light weight / light duty spirit levels are better compared to other brands. In fact, the 4 feet level is significantly heavier than an old 4 feet Johnson I-beam level that I have. ... show more

    • Dainty but precise
Picked this set up for 90 bucks. Have a beefier stabila for everyday carpentry work but wanted this set for tiling (so my other doesn’t get covered in thinset) and I get the smaller levels too mostly for plumbing joists/short verticals with the deal. These are the lower end model which doesn’t sacrifice precision but does mean it’s smaller and more likely to bend voiding the warranty. A cheap level costs way more than any savings so walking away from this set at that price was impossible. The smaller profile also lends itself to the more intricate measurements involved with tiling. If you’re a homeowner and looking for a level—this is the set for you. You won’t abuse it enough to worry about the fact that it’s slightly less durable. If you’re a contractor, this is a good backup set and good a good primary if you’re the type that takes care of your tools (I’m not so this serves as a backup and tile set for me 🤣). I have found these smaller profile levels easier to work with in general and much easier for layout and fine work. ... show more

    • Terrible quality
These are verrrry lightweight levels. The material is so thin, they are almost useless. I own many stabila levels and i thought these were a good deal to have a couple more around. However, these are no where close to the quality of their more expensive sets. Stabila never should have put their name on these. Returned ... show more

Very nice light weight levels, they all read perfect level when stacked on each other. I’ve already dropped them a few times and they are still reading true. Definitely stabila quality despite others saying they feel cheap.
