Red extension kit says it doesn't work with the fire detection feature on the D1 Pro Grey machine but I'm using it and all works as it should.

If you want to double your engraving area with same precision, this is the perfect accessory for your D1 pro. There are informative videos to set it up. It saves a lot of hassles for bigger engrave/cutting projects. You can carve/engrave really long pieces and it increases so many possibilities with this tool. XTool also sells the enclosure for extension kit, which will safeguard your setup nicely. Definitely recommended if you want to take your projects to next level.

Love the extension, currently engraving a 27" long cutting board I made "display purpose only" BEST investment.... Dislike..no instructions on how to put together, only parts list included, but it wasn't to bad to figure out
