Bought this as an entry level product to see how well I could learn to use. The construction and the set up are so easy! Within 30 minutes of unboxing, I had already done several nice quality test burns to include a picture. The included software is very good to learn on though I did upgrade to Lightburn SW for more precise controls and options. Already have upped my game in wood working and allowed me to do more quality-controlled engraving on multiple projects. Will look to upgrade the laser in the future as I get more comfortable but the 10W laser that was included does everything I ask of it without fail. I will mention that I added the air accessory which helped with fumes and keeps the laser head much cleaner. Xtool D! is an outstanding laser for both beginners and professionals!.

I purchased my laser engraver to burn some images into a bunch of slate coasters. I was really happy with the xTool after getting it setup and running. I did use my 3D printer to create some leg brackets to secure the laser to a wast board which I then used to burn a print grid on. I also used it to cut a set of slate coaster holes in a pattern board that allowed me to quickly mass produce 9 coasters per burn cycle. I used primarily the xTool Creative Space software to support the burner and it worked great for both direct attach to the burner and remote over wifi. The burn and cut worked as desired and I am very pleased with the engraver.

The media could not be loaded. 6 weeks after purchasing this product, the laser module stopped firing. I contacted Customer Service, sent a video, and spent hours troubleshooting the product, alone, as instructed. The problem still existed. I reached back out to CSR and they responded with another troubleshooting article. The problem still occurred. Every time I call customer service, I am told that someone will email me. Every time I am emailed, I am told to read another troubleshooting article. I am only receiving responses once per day, around midnight or in the middle of the morning. I am not able to directly communicate with anyone other than the answering service/CSR that constantly tells me that the issue will be forwarded, and I will be emailed. The machine is defective. Customer service is not effective, and every day that this machine is down, I am losing money. The warranty that was purchased from Amazon doesn't start until after the manufactures warranty has ended….SO, I can’t return this unless I pay a restocking fee. And, in my case since it’s been over 30 days, I will have to pay them a 30% "Restocking Fee". I really feel stuck and frustrated right now. I truly expected better. Hopefully this issue will be resolved before I lose any more customers. Meanwhile, I will be here waiting until midnight for a response from a representative that may or may not tell me to read another troubleshooting article…

I had a previous engraver and I couldn’t get any rotary to work. And after about a month it didn’t work anymore. I returned the one I had and bought the XTool and the matching rotary and it has been absolutely wonderful! I plug the rotary right in with using it within a half an hour. I had never used a rotary before, but it all worked so easily! This is probably the easiest engraver to learn how to use! It’s only a 10 watt, but that was plenty of wattage to make some great Christmas gifts for everyone! I’m sure eventually I will want the 20 W but right now this one is everything I need! On another note, the customer service is absolutely the best! If I had any questions, I just emailed them, and they answered me the same day typically, but definitely by the next morning! They were always extremely helpful, and you couldn’t ask for more as far as customer service! I would definitely buy this engraver 100 times over again!

Pros: best looking cutter, easy to assemble, everything fits nicely. This device is so precise that it will blow your mind. It provides a lots of fun and makes some awesome stuff. Cons: waaaaay overpriced. Accessories overpriced too. WiFi doesn't work if you have any special character in password. There is no driver for MacOs that i could find on Xtool official website. It cannot frame job correctly- real job it's always off by 1/4 inch. To sum up, get it if money is not concern. 10W is a minimum i would recommend.

What a great machine to have! When I first received it, I was a little confused about all of the materials that were there as one item didn't look as if it were completely packaged with everything (My order was more than just the machine). I reached out to customer service and within 24 hours, Jennifer (the rep) contacted me and completely handled everything and within a week everything was completely handled and taken care of. I couldn't be more thrilled with this machine and all it can do. The customer service was top notch, and looking forward to doing more business with Xtool. The orders are coming in quickly, and I am very happy with it. Definitely a game changer in my shop! Thank you!

I bought this laser engraver in July and absolutely love it. I have created some amazing things and my skills are only getting better. I’ve created several gifts for family and have been met with rave reviews. The biggest drawback is that I am so laser-focused and always thinking of new ideas on what to create next. The D1Pro 10w has been more than capable and the detail is remarkable. I bought an enclosure and air assist as well as the honeycomb for it. All three are needed so you don’t fill your space with smoke and debris, but it’s easy to set up and they work well. It does have a bit of learning curve, but the customer service and support groups on Facebook are great. Each machine has a separate group with Xtool staff monitoring which allows them to answer more general questions. If you need to reach them for more specific concerns, their staff will respond usually within 48 hours. Since they are in other parts of the world, I consider this a big plus. There are tons of YouTube videos from Xtool as well as hobbyists and small business owners who want to share, which helps ease the learning curves. Overall I love it!
