This optional accessory should really be bundled with the machine or even better, already assembled, in my opinion - I would have happily paid extra for it initially! It makes a HUGE difference in results when cutting wood. I didn't purchase it until almost a year after I got my M1, which was fine, since I didn't start working with wood until several months after I purchased the M1. Installation wasn't fun, but if you follow the instructions TO THE TEE you will have no issues. I would also recommend watching at least one YouTube installation video so that you can see ALL of the steps before you start and prevent from making any silly mistakes like I did (I mistakenly applied one of the little white holders for the black tubing upside down and it took quite a bit of force to rip it off and put it back on right side up). I am glad I bought it!

The media could not be loaded. Easy to set up just attach the air house to the unit and laser plug in and turn on. It has an airflow speed/power control that is adjustable. Works great and helps the laser make clean clear cuts.

Huge upgrade for the Xtool. If you want anything close to professional results, you're going to want to get this. Allows you to cut faster, cleaner, deeper. Really night and day difference.

This simple little fish tank air compressor improved my wood laser cuts and engravings 10x. I was constantly getting red/orange scorch marks on the face of my wood next to any cuts through the wood. I thought the riser base kit would be the key because it has the honeycomb grill. That helped a little, but this air kit fixed all my issues. No more overburns or scorched edges. yes it seems overpriced for what you get, but it is well designed and the magnetic nozzle is pretty ingenious. Definitely a must buy if you have the M1 and cut wood.

After spendings a very long time installing this product (which is not super easy) I plugged it in and the pump started making pumping noises but then the control dial sparked and then a plume of smoke followed. I ordered a replacement through Amazon but so far off to a rough start! Update! I would like to note that the manufacturer of the product responded to my request to handle the manner promptly. They offered to provide a replacement free of charge and was very apologetic and kind throughout the process. I choose to have Amazon handle the manner just because I'm familiar with the process and find their returns procedure to be very convenient. I was very impressed with XTool and the support they provide and follow through.

We all know that air assist is the best method to clear debris and smoke during the engraving process. This kit is specifically designed for the XTool M1. It comes with complete instructions, assembly parts, hoses, fittings, and tools(we call them toy surprises). The assembly is straight forward for normal operation or with the tool base attached. So far worth the cost and effort.

This is really a necessity. This should be included with all XTool lasers, should not be an option. It should be already installed as well. I’m handy and mechanical minded, but not everyone is capable of using tools to attach this unit. XTool needs to see the unit with riser and air assist already a part of it, not as options. They’ll be way more successful.
