How secure are the zippered front and back panels? The front and back panels attach via standard reinforced zippers. They stay zipped during normal pet movement and won't easily slide open or detach. Will the Textilene bed sag under a heavy dog? No. Textilene is a high-tension material that distributes weight evenly across the steel frame, preventing the sagging common in standard fabric beds. Is the shelter stable enough for outdoor wind? Yes. The steel frame and non-slip feet keep it steady on flat ground. For strong winds, zipping on the panels helps prevent wind from catching inside. Can the fabric withstand dog scratching and chewing? The center mat is scratch-resistant against regular dog claws and digging. While durable for normal use, it can still be damaged by aggressive chewing. Is it complicated to switch between the 3 configurations? No tools are required. You simply zip the front/back panels on or off for the enclosed mode, or detach the upper canopy frame to use the standalone bed.
