So I own the XOP Vanish, which is pretty light at 10 lbs; however, dropping 4 extra lbs and going with the Retrograde really made a difference as I hiked in further. It's not just 4 lbs, but it's also the weight distribution. This fits perfect with the x2 sticks on my Eberlestock X2. The caveat I would make is if you're a big guy. The platform is small. I'm 5'8" and comfortable shooting off a smaller platform. The nice thing with this is, you can also use it as a saddle platform too. I purchased this stand because I was tired of giving up my off side in my saddle. Problem solved. This stand is light weight yet sturdy. While it’s not as compact as a traditional saddle platform, it gives you a lot more options for shots and is still easy to hang and carry. I used this stand this past weekend for the first time and I gotta say this is by far the lightest hang in stand I've ever used !!! I would absolutely recommend this to anyone looking for a light weight yet super sturdy stand. Zero flaws for me !!
