Whatever we put these on, the cats stopped scratching. Super easy to apply, just like big stickers. They haven’t left any residue on our furniture or carpet when we took them off. Our cats seemed to stay away from the furniture months after we took the tape off. It does get worn a bit, but ours lasted for about six months. The ones one the carpet wear out faster and ours would get covered in cat hair, but it still did it’s job. It’s kind of ugly, but not as bad as scratched up furniture…hoping for the day we can remove it and the cats stick to their scratching posts.

I have cats and some of them are onery little hooligans! I have resorted to having to buy these sticky anti deterrant stickers for my couches. This product comes in a few sizes, but I do like the larger size for circumference. I have a cat that's a chunky boi whose a loveable goof, who for some reason likes to bite the sticky paper on the couch. I don't know... I still love him tho, even when his fur gets stuck and he howls and I try and help him and he scratches me lol. I didn't say he was bright, he's a sweet boi. If your couch is within walking parameter, your clothes might get stuck as you walk past. They do with mine. Not a big deal. So far, these are effective against scratching! Very sticky, adhere to couch really well- multiple sizes to choose from. I think I need to cover the whole house tho!

Because my cat is attempting to destroy my sofa, I bought this with high hopes. It's very easy to stick in place. It is double sided sticky, which means you can stick it on the sofa and leave the outside with the paper backing, or take the paper backing off of both sides so it's sticky on both sides. They say that cats don't like the sticky bit, so they are unlikely to try to scratch the sofa with the sticky side out. I left one part of the sofa with the paper backing, and the other side with the sticky side out. The paper backing side was ugly, because there were big white squares that could easily be seen. On the other side, the sticky side out was invisible, but I kept accidentally leaning against it and getting stuck, lol I left it in place for three weeks, hoping to retrain my cat to go to his scratch pad instead of the sofa. It's true that I didn't hear him using the sofa during that time. (he always does it at night, and I can hear it from my bed.) After three weeks, I pulled it all off. Because I put it on an already damaged sofa, it did pull a lot of the loose fibers off when I peeled it off. I did not like that it stuck that well. But that was the least of my problems, because my cat went right back after it once it was all pulled off. It didn't work for me, but I have a stubborn old tom. Maybe it would work better on younger cats who are still being trained? I do see the potential for this to work well for others.

Product would have received more stars, it has been successful at keeping the cats from scratching. However, after attempting to remove one it peeled my couch fabric. Probably best for a cloth couch and not microfiber or leather..
