This thing honestly looks great out together. Not nearly as cheap looking or feeling as I feared. It looks good enough that I ended up using it for a TV stand in my bedroom as my bedroom is where my wire crate was from her being a puppy. The instructions specifically say to not use it as a TV stand but as sturdy as it seems coupled with a lightweight TV, it has been fine. Give it 4 Stars We purchased the extra large version for our 15 month old 75 pound Lab. Waited three months to write the review because I wanted to see how it would hold up. Pros Looks really nice sitting in our family room. I included pictures and these were taken after three months of usage. This looks so much better than the plastic dog carrier we had before. Very roomy. Our big boy has room to walk around and stretch out. See photos of him taking a nap. Easy to clean. The floor surface is non absorbing contact paper so it wipes out with a damp paper towel. Included all of the hardware and instructions for assembly. If you have ever assembled a piece of IKEA furniture you can assembly this. Cons This dog crate is a bit on the expensive side considering it is made of contact paper on pressed wood. The sliding door could use some design improvements. The track is not smooth and it feels like the door will pop out of the track when opening and closing. We don’t use this and have it locked out so not a big deal for us and only letting other buyers know in case they only plan on using the side door. Other Thoughts We added a dog pad to make it a bit more comfortable. If you have a highly destructive dog this might not be for you. I don’t think it would stand up to a large dog pushing on the bars and a chewer would get through the paneling in short order. Would definitely buy again and give it a solid 4 out of 5 stars. ... show more

Nice and big, pretty sturdy and stable, and easy to assemble. I wouldn't say it's comfortable just because it s wood but obviously putting a dog bed in there, it'll help. It's definitely worth the price.

Like it. Not as think and hardy as some other brands but still does the job. Easy one person assembly comes with a magnetic screwdriver as well. Instructions are clear my 40 lb puppy likes it and shes a smedium (small- medium). Easy to pick up and move due to the wood not being too heavy duty. If you have a rough and tough dog that is known for chewing through walls maybe go for a cage thats thicker than this one ... show more

Solid structure and easy to build by myself. Door slider is smooth and looks way better than the cheesy wire crates that cost about half the price, but if you use it for every night bed, then it's worth the extra cost, especially if you have to set it up in your main living area. My only complaint is that it doesn't give you an option for which side you want the swinging door that opens to be on.. i would have really liked it to be on the right side which opens the main room rather than not being able to use it on the left side. But i pretty much knew that before i bought it. ... show more

It very nice looking and large. I have a Doberman she has figured out how to break out of this thing so many times. She broke the front lock. She escaped out the back. So we chain it up now, but it does not look as nice as the lock is broken. Not built for strong active dogs.
