On high setting it might last 4 hrs on medium 5-6hrs. Definitely not 16 like it says. I haven't over charged it or anything I the it off charge when the 4th light is lit up. They get amazingly warm. My wife had them on the middle setting and they were hot to touch. They work great, and can be used to charge your phone. Comes with a plug in charger, and here is the best part. They are magnetic, so they stick to each other so you don't lose one.
