This is a nice rake - and surely is smaller than a standard one - but is in NO WAY A TOY! It is a REAL RAKE, It is metal, and very dangerous. It is heavy and has spikes, like a real rake does. It is definitely smaller than a standard one - so maybe for a younger or shorter person, even a petite person, or a woman like me (5'0" tall). I find it much easier to use than the full-sized rake we had. Overall, this is a nice rake, just not for the targeted audience - children.

This children's rake is very sturdy! The thick wooden handle comes in two parts that you just screw together so you can take it apart to store it or hang it from the thick cord that's attached. The tines of the rake will not bend or break easily. Although it's smaller than I expected I would definitely recommend this just because I'm sp impressed with the quality of it!

My child would always steal my rake while I was tending to the lawn, so I decided to get her one. While the rake was the perfect size/weight for a toddler to use. I was disappointed with the size of the rake head, which measures only 7 inches wide. Overall, the tool is a nice introductory for kids who want to help out, but it could be better.
