  • If you put it in a Alienwear Graphics Amplifier it works dont get frustrated it's worth the work!
So I bought an Alienwear 15 like 5 years ago with a Alienwear Graphics Amplifier <---Been sitting in my closet for 5 years.. Finely decided to pull it out and slap a Desk top Graphics card in it and after about 3 hours of figuring out how to get it to recognize the hard wear, turns out this card and Amplifier just kick butt together! Pretty sick playing at maximum capacity! Handles Shroud of the avatar, Fall out 76 and other beefy games no problem at 64fp to 110fps. ... show more

  • Solid card, little big, Make sure it will fit
Good card, was worried it would burn out on me or something after reading other reviews, but mine is running on a year and a half now with no issues. I recommend paying attention to your ventilation and temperatures.

  • Check your bios switch before installing! Or you might get (Code 43) Check your bios switch before installing! Or you might get (Code 43)
Great card but took some time to get it working. I spent hours on this one and tried different software for it, the beta version, the current recommend version the WHQL version and even the dated copy that came with the GPU card on disc. I would even use the AMD Clean Update utility and DDU in safe mode to make sure no remnants of the last AMD driver & software were left in place. Each time the AMD software would say "No AMD graphics driver is installed, or the AMD driver is not functioning properly. Please install the AMD driver appropriate for your AMD hardware." When checking the Device driver in Windows 10 (64 bit) I would get the following error: "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)" The only Google searches that had a consistent solution recommended to re-flash the bios. There was no way I was going to do this on a brand new card. I contacted AMD support, the seller, as well as XFX but seeing its on a weekend I was stuck with Google. Ignore the nay sayers that you need a new power supply or should re-install windows. If a similar AMD card was previously installed and uses most of the same software its likely not a Windows problem and if the earlier graphics card(s) had a similar power draw its not a power supply issue. It isn't mentioned in the instructions and doesn't even seem documented on AMDs website. Since this is a dual bios card you have an option to switch from regular use to mining. This isn't done through software but by an actual switch located near the 6+2 power connector. If the switch is set to mining you will get the Code 43 in Windows and the card wont function except for the very basics. if you get this error and dont intend to use the card for mining flip the switch away from the power connector towards the back of the card. (It may be different on yours) and it should function as expected! WOW! What an improvement over my old R7 260X! Furmark went from 24FPS to 72FPS! Great card and other than the hard to find and pretty much undocumented bios switch, another great AMD/ATI product!!! ... show more

  • Horrible Graphics Card
When I first got this graphics card it worked fine. I did notice the temperature was on the higher end of normal. But I ignored it for awhile. It's been 2 months and now this graphics card hardly works. I keep getting display freezes, crashes in games. It gets wayyy too hot like 89 Celsius. And only one fan runs even when super hot. It's not even on the overclock setting either. Definitely would like to get a refund. ... show more

  • Why?
This graphics card is way overpriced. I found this exact card on best buy for $250. Don't buy this way to over priced graphics card.

  • Not a good choice for older systems.
If you're new to gaming/mining GPUs, there is not only a learning curve you may be met with, there's also hardware issues that you will have to solve with this one. Amazon's mixing Q&As of different models on the same page can also be a huge setback. Not explicitly listed in the description is the fact that this requires an 8 pin "PCIe" power supply, and power supply that will handle at least 500 watts. I had neither. After upgrading to a suitable power supply (captain Power series) which showed a rectangualr 8 pin connector, I found out that it was 2 square 4 pin connectors. Neither of which are PCIe power connectors. I finally found an adapter for that. I am currently unable to test it until the LP4 to PCIe adapter gets here. Currently a red light glows on the card, and the PC will boot with the card inserted, but the TV switches to "No Video" and shows a black screen while it's booting up. It may be the power supply, or it may be a BIOS issue, in which case I will need a new motherboard that allows "FULL UEFI support" If you have a system that is only a year or so old, this will probably pop right in and work with no problems. If you're like me and have a slightly older system, you'll have your work cut out for you updating, upgrading and troubleshooting. ... show more
