I used it in my table router and it performed as good or better than any other bit of its type. It is a three fluted bit, where some only have two, and easily kept its work area clear of wood chips and dust. It has an nACo coating which allows a much higher heat resistance up to 1,200 degrees Celsius, which is 2192 degrees Fahrenheit. It also has another coating that prolongs the life of the bit by three times. It comes in its own case with a label depicting its size. This will make my work area more tidy as I won't have one more bit just laying loose. This XDENGP is one of the better compression bits made.

This 3 flute up & down cut compression spiral router bit using 1/4" shank and 1-1/4" Cutting Length from XDENGP is a high quality sharp and well made router bit that provides clean and super smooth cuts every time i use it. i used it for different types of wood, the bit feature a NACO coating that i think should be used on any bit made today to keep the bit from overheating, and overall to last longer. im very impressed with this bit's performance and recommended it.

I cannot get the bit to stay in the collet. It slips up out of the collet when using it in my router table. Very dangerous! The shank must not be quite the right diameter. Returned it before injuring myself. I even called Rockler and talked with them about bits slipping out since I bought my router there. Did all the things they told me to do to keep a bit in and no luck. I have a ton of bits and none do this.

This bit cut really well, but I think it was colored this way to mimic other "long-lasting" coatings. To my experience this coating doesn't do anything for the longevity or cut quality of this bit compared to a "naked" bit. Nonetheless it cuts cleanly and works well for this price point.

Great for using in router finger joint jig My finger joint router bit jig needs this ¼ “diameter flat bottom cut type of router bit and it works perfectly. In my open jig, the “compression” type “up cut” and “down cut” does not seem to matter as the saw dust flies everywhere anyway. I am probably not taking advantage of the “compression” type three flute spirals but right now I have a lot of box making projects before I can test this bit for other applications.

This bit cuts great and also looks good. Personally I could care less about how pretty and shiny a bit is as long as it cuts well and lasts a long time. This bit should do both. The bit cuts very well and the construction and coating should provide for long life. I use this in my CNC router for cutting mainly pine with occasionally some hardwood. Very happy with this bit. It is quite expensive, but if it lasts and works as expected it is ok to spend a bit more for a superb bit.

Mere words do not do justice to the appearance of this three flute down/up carbide router bit (yep, the flutes go in two directions to expel the chips better, I assume). As I said above, it is precisely 1/4" (nice, since some vendors think that 6mm and 1/4" are the same). It's very sharp and will do a lovely job on wood if I can ever bring myself to get it dirty. The shank is polished and shines like chrome. The flutes are a lovely metallic blue that reflects the light. The grooves are a metallic red/purple color. Industrial jewelry...

I'm currently working on some fairly large, approximately 24" square and 2" thick, 3D carvings in Padauk and wanted a bit that wouldn't cause chip out during the rough cuts. So far this bit is fulfilling that need perfectly. I don't carve very deep per pass and in reviewing the first few runs I'm literally seeing zero chip out. The bit is cutting quite cleaning leaving a nice finish on all edges. The bit comes with a feed and chip load card for XDENGP bits which I think every manufacturer should provide so I really appreciate that this bit included the information.
