If you need a headset for gaming (or tbh just any use of spatial audio), I think these are good for $50. Comfortable for long ish sessions and has a little dial on the right cup to make volume adjustment simple, I dig this headset. I was buying cheap and/or 3rd party headsets but gaming friends couldn’t hear me and that hasn’t been an issue with these (issue may not have been on my end either). Add in that they support Dolby Atmos/DTS means you may not get the super high fidelity of a premiere product, but it is still immersive audio which is very neat (as in, when playing Halo I can easily distinguish which direction chaos is coming from). And of course since they connect with a standard 3.5mm audio jack, you can use them for anything not just your Xbox. I like these quite a bit. ... show more

I picked these up for 45$ on black Friday, it's great for online party/chat with friends. Has the volume control on the ear cup which is nice. I downloaded the dolby atmos app on the series x, definitely improves the in-game experience. The sound quality isn't as good as a pair of Sennheisers or Boss but are good for gaming and chat. Good value imo. I have the wired pair, I like these better than the Bluetooth ones, don't have to charge, just plug into the controller. ... show more

First of all. I HATE headsets. I understand you do get better sound gaming but that’s why I upgraded my TVs and my PS to a 5 and my XBone to the S. I had been using the wired ear bud from the PS4 for years but I always kept having communication issues. Bout the PS Platinum headset. After hours long sessions I noticed my neck was hurting in weird places. The sound was great but too bulky. Went back to the ear bud. Started playing Halo(can’t hear you. Saw this on sale and said F it and got it. Blown away at the sound. It’s super light on the head. AND I bought the Dolby Atmos app for it and HOLY smokes it is incredible. I’m in the stadium in Madden/FIFA/MLB I can hear EVERYTHING in Halo and am literally unstoppable. Movies and TV my goodness. I see reviews about durability. Just take care of them and you’ll be just fine. Don’t yank them off don’t toss them on the couch. Be gentle and they will work great. ... show more

Having not bought a gaming headset before (but having tried a few on at various price points), I feel pretty good about this headset, and in terms of sound and build quality, I think this might be among the best options for a gaming headset. And the wheel to adjust volume is great. However, when listening to music or movies, I'm more likely to notice that this headset falls a bit short. Maybe with some aggressive eq adjustments you can make this thing work well outside of a gaming experience, but I'd suggest considering music headphones that can be plugged into your controller and attaching a mic along the way. ... show more

i have tried SO many headsets for my xbox over the past 3 years. i think i’ve gone through about 10 at least. and the bottom line is: this pair is by far the best! they are a level way above the rest in comfort, for starters, and the mic/sound quality are immaculate. it has the ability to mute your background noises perfectly and as a fan-loving gal, that is so important to me. it also doesn’t catch you breathing like some others do. also, it’s noise - cancelling which is perfection. overall, if you’re thinking of getting these, DO IT. you won’t regret it! ... show more

Don't know much about audio but I think the audio in these is pretty good, I can hear clearly and works well with directional audio. Pretty good quality and love the volume slider on the headphone itself. Mic seems to be of decent quality. Would buy again if these break.

I bought the wired headset and upon the first time of using them the headphone jack doesn't go all the way into the controller. I had to continuously roll the jack to get audio in both ears and my chat was always choppy to the other party. Finally, after around a month of owning them, I put them on one day to find out they just no longer work. There's no audio and a horrible static coming from the headset.
