  • Great headset - ‘Xbox One Chat Headset’ Atmos works for my Home Theater
‘Xbox One Chat Headset’ Great product. For me I needed a headset with mic that allows my Atmos system to perform as it should. 9.2.4 works great even with the headset plugged in. I tried a wireless one from another brand and Xbox would only allow the Atmos in the headset (which isn’t really Atmos).

  • 5 stars for the price
Eventually, serious gamers will ditch the standard headset, but if you're new to the Xbox or gaming in general, or you just need to buy some time while you research more expensive headsets, this is a great starter! Mine has been through the ringer (thrown, sat on, spilled drinks, etc.) and still works! So it's highly durable as well. No batteries required, as it attaches by wire to your Xbox controller. Easy to mute and adjust the volume using the integrated buttons that are already at your fingertips. Now for the cons! - Your squad/teammates will hear background noise through your mic if it's loud enough. True for a lot of headsets, but with this type especially, you're not using it for game audio (only chat audio). So that means you're going to be relying on your TV's audio during gaming. If you turn that up too loud, teammates will hear it! - While wired has some advantages, the big disadvantage is that it dangles and can get easily snagged. Minor gripe, but worth mentioning. - Foam earpiece is comfortable for short-term gaming, but the fact it's up against your entire ear becomes more noticeable over time. - Not the loudest or clearest audio experience! Overall though, it's hard to beat the price. Great to have as a backup or in the meantime while you're trying to decide on a more expensive headset. ... show more

  • Great one ear Xbox headset
I really like this headset. It has a mute button you can press that is very helpful and a volume up and down button. I like how it is only on one ear so that I can also hear other people in the house when they need to speak with me or if somebody were to knock on my door. I don't know about other games but when I play my elder scrolls online, I only hear the person or people chatting with me and not the music or noise of the game, but of course one ear is uncovered and you can hear that coming from the TV itself. These are definitely the type of headsets that you need to be gentle with but I have been able to make a pair last a couple years and I've also had a pair last only one year but I do love this particular model the best but it does seem that they may be not making them anymore since you cannot get them on the Xbox store anymore and I have only been able to find them for sale through third-party sellers and it will definitely make me sad when I can no longer buy one from anyone. I do recommend this headset ... show more

  • Used. Junk. You will regret buying!!!
“Brand new” haha right. Plugged them in, no chat, not working either direction. They were just dead. Unplugged them, plugged them back in, tried to update controller, tried 3 other updated controllers…NOTHING. Tried one last time and they worked…..An hour later, they didn’t work again. Dead like they started. Did the whole process thing again, couldn’t get them to work. Once again I have to hop in the car and drive more Amazon junk back to the UPS store. For the record, when I opened the box, the clear round sticker to the box looked like it had been picked off and put back on a few times. The whole headset was covered in white cloth fuzzies and in the right light, you could see water marks on the black of the product. The “manual” was bent and corners were bent clearly been roughed around. They were used and clearly were wiped down to look new. Never have I ever seen this in an actual new headset from the store or electronics stores. Plain and simple, I ordered new and got used. And used JUNK. Save your time, listen to these bad reviews because they aren’t bought or paid for…they are legit. These things are being sold to us as new and they are clearly returns from other places, being sold as new. And most people return crap when it doesn’t work so AMAZON needs to stop this from happening!!! We order new we expect new! Much like when we buy from the store!!!!! So I’m returning these and getting my money back and then I’m going to go to an actual store and buy them. Which is what I should have done from the start. I’m tired of having to go to TWO places….when buying stuff online. Once to the UPS store and then again to a store to buy a replacement of the junk I got delivered to my door. Such an eye roll. DONT BUY THESE HEADSETS. LISTEN TO THE OTHER BAD REVIEWS OR YOU WILL SURELY BE DISAPPOINTED. LIKE ME. ... show more

  • Functional, Lightweight, and Surprisingly Not Trash
Let’s get something straight: this isn’t a surround sound, noise-canceling, Dolby Atmos headset with RGB earcups and a $300 price tag. But you know what? For what it is—a simple plug-and-play voice mic for your Xbox controller—it does the job well. This little mono headset is light, fits surprisingly snug, and the mic pickup is actually super clear. I’ve used it in cross-play with friends on PC, and nobody’s ever said “you sound like you're in a tunnel.” That’s a win right there. The inline mute + volume switch is super handy, and it plugs right into the controller’s 3.5mm jack with zero setup needed. I keep one of these as a backup when my main headset’s charging or when Peighton wants to chat with her cousins online without using the whole soundbar. ... show more
