Is HOVERAir X1 PRO or PROMAX waterproof? The HOVERAir X1 PRO and PROMAX are not waterproof. However, with OmniTerrain on, they are designed to fly over water surfaces and capture your exciting moments near or over water. What are the charging options and charging time? The HOVERAir X1 PRO and PROMAX support fast charging with a 65W charger or hub, charging a single battery in 45 minutes and two in 60. Direct charging via USB 2.0 is also possible, along with power banks and car chargers. What are the low battery warnings and landing procedures? The X1 PRO series features a low-battery warning for safe operation. It prevents launch if battery is low and warns during flight. Below 5% in auto modes, it auto-lands or returns to launch point. So I was looking on amazon one day and I wanted to find a drone that was built well, was easy to use/operate nad had a really good camera. This is the drone that I decided to try out. This drone comes with a usb c to usb c charging cable, a charging block, 2 batteries, a charger for both batteries, a small bag for the drone and a large bag for the drone and accessories. The drone is small enough to fit easily in your hand when folded up. The drone was very easy to operate. I simply hold the power button for a brief period and the drone turns on. Afterwards, I can select the mode I want to work with whether it is hover, follow, birds eye view, orbit or even ski mode. Once I select the mode I prefer for my needs, I press the button once, allow the drone to rest on my hand and in a few seconds, the drone lifts off while maintaining focus on its target, the one you intend to photograph/record. The drone has an app that makes it easy to see what the drone is looking at, when to start/stop video and to help choose the best moments for that special photo. It’s a great photographer on the go. This is drone has a 4k camera which is great for capturing family memories, scenery or just high video in general. I am really impressed with how well the drone stabalizes itself to take great photo and video. Overall, this drone has a lot of value. I'm a little late to this party - I have the original HoverAir X1, which has served me well. I upgraded to the X1 Pro, with the combo package that includes 2 extra batteries, the charger, and the 65w wall wart; and the Controller Combo, which has the beacon and two joysticks in a case. The HoverAir X1 Pro can fly higher and further than the original X1, but retains all the easy to use features. With the beacon and joysticks, it can be flown like a traditional drone, but still using the ease of launch and retrieve on the palm of your hand. Battery life is improved with the "smart" batteries, lasting up to 16 minutes. The beacon and joysticks connect quickly. If you choose to, you can also use your phone through the Hover app to control on Manual Mode. The X1 Pro has a built in cage surrounding the props - it is flexible and durable. The price is higher than the original X1, but the added features and capabilities are well worth the price - this is a camera drone that will get more use, because it is easy to use. ... show more

Sorry, Drone does NOT work for Mountain Biking: I purchased this drone specifically for Mountain Biking. Unless you are a road biker or very, VERY mild trail rider with NO obstacles, this drone does not function as stated. I used it with & without Beacon riding incredibly slow, and it still lost me and/or got lost in the tress. Even hit a tree once on an open turn and broke the camera. I got another replacement unit for further testing and could not get it to follow me with any satisfaction. Maybe if I rode very slow it could track me, but I don't ride slow. I hoped the Beacon would help it track me, but alas, the drone could not keep up other than a walking pace. For any other use, I imagine it would be fine, but not for $500 & $800 with Beacon. ... show more

What a complete waste of $500. The drone flew off course, got lost on the first day I used it, as I was riding a trail on my gravel bike Poof! $500 💸 gone on the first day of use. 🤬👎🏼 Above is my previous review about the drone. However, I forgot to update this review after HoverAir sent me a replacement, not once, but twice. Their customer service was absolutely amazing! They were completely understanding of my particular situation & went way above & beyond to help me out. The fact that the sent me two replacements after I lost two of their drones speaks volumes to their customer service. I have been using the third drone for a while now, & have not lost this one. 🤞🏼 My only wish is that the battery could be prolonged. Other than that, the drone is super cool! ... show more

I have been playing with different drones lately and wanted something a little bit more independent especially for creating great memories with my family. Since the unpacking this drone felt different, I was surprised by the compact product, the details and also the break test piece included, which I did try a lot to break it but without luck lol. Once I fully charged and downloaded the android app, the process to pair and connect was very easy. As soon as it was connected it automatically updated the firmware and than I was ready to use it. One more detail on the app is the classes it offers, for each flying mode you can watch detailed video with examples on what kind of video it will capture. Outdoor first flight was smooth and to be honest you can fully utilize the drone without even opening the app, with all the preloaded and customizable path settings. I was very surprised with the tracking on bike mode, I tested it in full daylight but also after dark, at around 8pm, under trees with very minimalistic light and it still performed like a charm. Solo flight with the app connection it went all the way to 100m, I wasn't trying to risk it to go further, especially because it was a bit windy. It handled the wind very great, ceystal clear image and also I like the audio recording as well. I will continue to enjoy it almost weekly moving forward and especially on holidays it will be the favorite gadget. I am still learning a lot on how to use drones and this one made it super easy for me. I need to purchase the next bundle with more batteries and the beacon, that I think is a must need for myself. ... show more
