Decent earbuds for calls and transcribing but subscription limits features

These feel like very nice quality. They come in a charging case, have a solid build construction, and hold a charge for a long time. They are useful for transcription, but the app is limited unless you pay a subscription fee, which isn't worth it to me. They also work fine just as earbud for phone calls. Sound quality is good on both ends. I haven't tried the translation feature and likely won't. I am also able to listen to any sound coming from my phone, like YouTube or TikTok, etc. They're handy. But, they're not cheap and I feel like the subscription "option" brings it down. ... show more

These X1 AI Voice Recording Earbuds are pretty impressive for open ear wireless headphones. The build quality feels solid and they’re comfortable to wear for long periods. Sound quality is decent and you can hear clearly without needing to crank the volume. The companion app is where most of the features are and it works pretty well. You’ll need it for things like real time transcription, translation, and bilingual chat. Packaging is very nice and premium. The transcribe feature is fairly accurate, around 85 percent, and with future firmware updates I think it could get even better. The card in the box said I would receive a 12 month VIP membership after activation, but I didn’t see that show up. It could have been something I missed during setup so I’ll look into it further. Calls come through clearly and people on the other end can hear me just fine. A full charge takes about 2.5 hours and the earbuds last a decent amount of time before needing to recharge. Overall, a solid product with some cool AI features that just needs a little more polish ... show more

I really really wanted to like these. The design is really nice, is slim, and feels sleek in my hands. However, their app does have a cost of a monthly or yearly subscription. They do have a free option but extremely limited usage and there is no outside use of the headphones. You cannot listen to media or music with them and unless you're in lectures or actively trying to translate there is no other use for them. It is quite disappointed for they are high quality made but there is not much else to be used for them. They do have a beep noise to them that you can listen too but that's about it. Great headphones, they connect easily with bluetooth capability and they stay connected with ease. They store and charge great in the included case and it allows them to stay in one spot easily as well as to be packed up and traveled with if not in use at the time. They are very easy to adjust and to use as well, volume capability is impressive and is easily adjusted as well. They do allow for recording and that feature is easily accessed and used as well! The sound is fantastic

I'll be completely honest, I don't really need the "pro" features very often and was really looking for a good set of earbuds that don't go in my ear. These are great for listening to audio. I will never use to note taking feature especially since its parked behind a paywall (although its a reasonable $5 per month if its something that you need). I have a coworker that speaks Spanish and these are pretty good for translating a conversation if needed. From what I can tell, you get 5 hours per month of the pro features and that will be more than enough for me without paying a subscription. I think these are fantastic earbuds that sound great and work completely fine as regular headphones but offer extra features if that is what you need. ... show more

Cool Concept, Decent Sound – But Setup and Controls Need Work

I was really excited to try these X1 AI Voice Recording Earbuds, especially for meetings and interviews where real-time transcription could be a game-changer. The design is sleek, and the open-ear style is surprisingly comfortable even for extended wear. Audio quality is decent for calls and casual listening, and the transcription feature does work… when it works. Unfortunately, the setup process was frustrating. Pairing with my phone took multiple attempts, and getting the companion app to recognize the earbuds consistently has been hit or miss. Once connected, the app interface feels clunky and unintuitive, especially for controlling recording features or accessing saved transcriptions. The controls on the earbuds themselves are also a bit confusing—taps don’t always register, and there’s no clear feedback to know if a command was successful. It feels like the hardware is ahead of the software, which is disappointing for a product built around AI and smart features.
