I'll be completely honest, I don't really need the "pro" features very often and was really looking for a good set of earbuds that don't go in my ear. These are great for listening to audio. I will never use to note taking feature especially since its parked behind a paywall (although its a reasonable $5 per month if its something that you need). I have a coworker that speaks Spanish and these are pretty good for translating a conversation if needed. From what I can tell, you get 5 hours per month of the pro features and that will be more than enough for me without paying a subscription. I think these are fantastic earbuds that sound great and work completely fine as regular headphones but offer extra features if that is what you need. ... show more

I was really excited to try these X1 AI Voice Recording Earbuds, especially for meetings and interviews where real-time transcription could be a game-changer. The design is sleek, and the open-ear style is surprisingly comfortable even for extended wear. Audio quality is decent for calls and casual listening, and the transcription feature does work… when it works. Unfortunately, the setup process was frustrating. Pairing with my phone took multiple attempts, and getting the companion app to recognize the earbuds consistently has been hit or miss. Once connected, the app interface feels clunky and unintuitive, especially for controlling recording features or accessing saved transcriptions. The controls on the earbuds themselves are also a bit confusing—taps don’t always register, and there’s no clear feedback to know if a command was successful. It feels like the hardware is ahead of the software, which is disappointing for a product built around AI and smart features. I really want to love these, and there’s potential here, but until they improve the app stability and streamline setup and controls, it’s just an average experience. ... show more

These ear buds are fairly comfortable despite their over ear shape. The included one year membership is great. At least you can see how well they work and if they'll suit your needs. Sometimes one free month isn't enough.

Interesting features with these earbuds. I got it primarily for the translation which works decently well. The pro features are $59 annually if you want them. They work well for meetings and are comfortable.
