This is a great product. It does exactly what it's supposed to do. Keep the sawdust and chips out of your way and sucked up in the vacuum. The only thing that I would have changed on this item is, for an 8 inch drill press it fits ok. It would have been better if there was an ever so slightly smaller version. I'm sure it's perfect for 10", 16", and 20" drill presses. But the bottom line is, it does what it says it's supposed to do. And for the money you can't beat it. And for those of you that think that it should suck up every single little Micron of sawdust, well there is nothing out there that can do that. GREAT PRODUCT. C.A.

I had rigged up something to collect dust from my drill press, but it was not as effective as this. The thought it out well and is fantastic. The included straps would not work with my Grizzly drill press so I had to order some separately. I recommend measuring the column before ordering so you can order more if needed.

Difficult to mount to the drill press, hard to align with the drill bit, and most of all, not effective. I set mine up, hooked up the shop vac, pointed the nozzle at the point of impact where the drill bit was running in the wood, and possibly 10 percent of the wood chips from the forstner bit were vacuumed up. Most of the chips just went flying all over the drill press table and floor.

Like the materials and design. Only problem was the 2 and 4” clamps provided don’t fit my 3” post. So, I had to buy a couple of 3” clamps that are perfect. Would have given 4*, but wanted people to know it. It is the clamp in the center of the picture.

I really wanted to like this. By its very nature, it's something that's a "nice" to have, but not a "need" to have. Assembly is super easy. The directions are super clear - right up there with SawStop for ease of use. (With that said, you're not exactly building a rocket ship.) No issues connecting to my 12 inch drill press at all and it comes with an adapter to fit my Rigid shopvac. The tube and nozzle work great and everything gets sucked up. So what's the problem? When I attach the hose to the adapter, the weight of the hose pulls the adapter down; therefore, like a seesaw, the nozzle goes up. No matter how hard I tighten it, it won't stay in place. Basically, I need to either hold it to keep it so it actually does what I need it to do or build a jig to offset the weight. For what I paid ($40), I can't endorse this - you can probably rig up a similar jig that maybe isn't as pretty, but is more functional. If you can get it in the $20-25 range (I certainly wouldn't go higher than $30) then I think it would be a fair deal.

This is a really great unit. I would recommend it for anybody that a drill press. The two different length tubes make it usable for just about any drill press table height. Only down side of it is the hose that you connect to the unit. I had an expandable one that I used with my old "Home Made" unit, I attached it to this one and when I turned on the vacuum the expandable hose shrunk back to the original length, rotating the sucker end up. I installed a flexible hose and it works great.
