  • Great all-season mountain bike tire
Size: 29-Inch x 2.25
These have been great tires on my bike. I live in northern Utah and ride on a trail by my house most days throughout the year (all 4 seasons). I bought these tires mostly for inclement weather conditions and they perform very well. Also, they're a lot more durable than the cheaper tires that came with the bike. For the price, you can't go wrong with these tires. ... show more

  • Good for cheapo tubeless with Stan's and Gorilla tape on a WTB SpeedDisc 29 inch rim
This tire mounted up nicely (not necessarily easily) to a WTB SpeedDisc 29 inch rim in a cheapo tubeless setup with Gorilla tape on the rim (it's not a tubeless rim) and 3oz of Stan's sealant. Will update later with performance comments once I have a few miles on it. Update March 1, 2018 So far so good. After the first 6-mile ride, I did lose quite a bit of air pressure (started with 60psi, ended with 20psi) as the sealant was sealing the tire and bead, but aired it back up to 60psi and did not notice any pressure loss over the next couple of rides over the past week. All of these rides have been road or paved trail so far (just breaking stuff in), so no real off-road trail use to report yet. If I were to do this over again, I would probably use 4oz of Stan's sealant because of the inside surface area of the tire (29x2.4 is more surface area than a normal tire). Update March 18, 2018 No complaints, no sidewall sweating that I've seen on other non-tubeless tires that are run in a tubeless set. I've ordered another one (I was just running it in the front previously) so I'll be using these as my primary trail tires this season. The sidewall is a bit thicker than the other tires I used, which gives these a better feel at lower pressure. I'll definitely be using 4oz of sealant when I mount the rear tire. Update October 10, 2018 I own 3 of these now (all 29x2.4). I ran these tubeless all season on both WTB and RhynoLite wheels. They are NOT light, but traction on the trail and over roots is awesome. No flats, no burps, no problems. If you're not concerned with weight and want a tire that will take whatever you dish out, this is the one for you. If you remount these (or any tires that has Stans buildup on them) you must pick the latex off the bead or the tire won't seat. I learned that the hard way. ... show more

  • Low-budget upgrade
Nice upgrade from my stock Specialized tires. A bit heavy but for my first aftermarket tire these do the job nicely. I've never used the pricey brands so these are literally the best tires I've owned.

  • Beefy tires that grip!
Size: 29-Inch x 2.25
After doing some research on tires that are good on loose, wet, roots, and some muddy surfaces... I decided to give the CST Rock Hawks a try. I got the 29 x 2.4 for the front and the 29 x 2.25 for the rear. They arrived and I was very pleased with the build and durability of the rubber on the tires. A really nice beefy tire meant to take some serious abuse on the trail. Her in Oregon we have lots of roots, rocks and muddy conditions. These tires really grip. In fairly dry, slightly tacky conditions they do not loose their grip when leaned over. They surprisingly roll pretty easily. I was expecting them to be quite a bit slow rolling, but they spin up well. I'm looking forward to taking these out in the mud in a few weeks when the rains begin. So far...very satisfied! ... show more

  • Great brand of tire for the money.
Size: 29-Inch x 2.25
I've been riding on CST Camber for several years. I'm hoping I'm sure the Rock Hawk will stand up well.

  • Great Rock Tire
Size: 26-Inch x 2.25
Great rock tire. It is a little heavier than expected but that's what you get with a wire bead tire. Like its name states this tire excels in loose rock. It has a very sticky compound which is awesome in the shale and sandstone rocks I ride. They only thing I have noticed is because of this they loves to pick up sticks and branches. This tire is surprisingly smooth on pavement as well. I would recommend this tire as an upgrade to factory rubber. Its now been well over 200 miles on these tire and all I can say is I Love these things! On single track they really excel. Always a sure grip in the corners and with landings after catching air. Oh, and by the way they don't pick up debris anymore. Must have been a new tire thing. LOL. ... show more

  • Good and aggressive tire
Size: 26-Inch x 2.25
Bought these for a friend and they look and work great. Good aggressive tire, but not too crazy so it rolls well too. The best part is I have now nicknamed my friend "Rock Hawk"...say it 5 times fast and you'll get it!

  • Excellent $ for a good, tough, little heavy, tire!
Size: 26-Inch x 2.25
Tough, good looking tires that handles all kinds of terrain. Adjust air pressure for desired handling characteristics. Tread has enhanced my riding confidence. I am really enjoying these tires! I do highly recommend them! Put these on my full suspension. Just ordered 2 more for my hardtail. Update: running Rock Hawks on both bikes, full suspension and a hardtail. 26x2.25 in the rear, 26x2.4 on the front of both bikes. Really hangs tough in the corners now. Updated pictures on both bikes coming directly. These tires can handle any trail conditions really well. They perform much better than the price might indicate... ... show more
