  • Works great
Pattern Name: Sensor Style: Motion Sensor (1-Pack)
I use a lot of Wyze products and this is one that I have multiples of. Can't say anything bad about it.

  • Fun ideas that work with it
Pattern Name: Sensor Style: Motion Sensor (1-Pack)
Love Wyze products. I used this as a mail box security sensor and it works. Many say that you can’t use this type of sensor inside a metal mailbox but it worked for me. Set it up on the Wyze app then added it to Alexa app and created a routine. Open mail box and Alexa Announces “mail is here”. Mailbox about 30 feet from my house . Note I got two sensors and I broke one trying to figure out how to remove the back plate for screw mounting. Sensor fell apart and stopped working. To remove back plate it’s a slide down action just in case you like me and don’t read directions. Going to buy a few more to play with some idea’s… thanks WYZE ... show more

The small size is great. Still getting to know it's strengths and weaknesses.

  • Once I defeated their software bug things went well
Pattern Name: Sensor Style: Motion Sensor (1-Pack)
Could not sign up for the monitoring due to a bug in the software. Figured out an alternate path using their web site. Tech support was almost useless and it took 3 different techs before they admitted the problem was on their end. One motion sensor seems less than sensitive even on the highest setting. Have to wave my hand in front of it to get it to trigger. 2 others seem to work correctly. The tape that holds the magnet for the door sensors is inadequate, one lasted less than 2 weeks, ended up gluing them to the door frame. ... show more

  • Unreliable, Money Grab and Horruble customer service
Pattern Name: Sensor Style: Motion Sensor (1-Pack)
I had 10+ cameras (indoor and outdoor), 30+ sensors, 4 Hubs; Home Monitoring, Cam Plus, and Cam Protect Services at one point. They used to be awesome. New company with some bugs but great customer service. I recommended them to everyone. But as of today... - Money Grab and Worst Customer Service. I've signed up to their annual Cam Protect for one camera, used it for a few months and then they disabled it saying that I can't be a Home Monitoring and Cam Protect user at the same time. It was THEIR system bug that allowed me to subscribe and pay for it. I then asked for my money back over their email customer services and they sent me the same BS-scripted response every time I sent a note back. I understand that there could be bugs, but are you really stealing my money like this? - Video recognition. Every time that I needed some footage from one of the outdoor cameras when we had some security issues, there was NO recording. Their video sensor (PIR effective area) to start recording only works with HALF of the image, if something happens on the other half NOTHING will be recorded. So, we had property destroyed and no way to have proof of who did it. - Disconnects. The Hubs are continuously disconnecting from WIFI. Especially in the middle of the night. So, no protection when that happens. - Time wasted. I've had to reconfigure everything 50+ devices at least 3 times because of the disconnection and errors. - Random errors in the middle of the night at specific time intervals. Or motion detected when nothing is there activated alarm multiple times at night or sent Push notifications to alert of nothing happening. I canceled all my services today. Save yourself many headaches and frustrations and pick another company, even if it's a little bit more expensive. The most important feature of a security system is its consistency in delivering results when needed. ... show more

  • Barely Senses You
Pattern Name: Sensor Style: Motion Sensor (1-Pack)
I bought a few of these because I couldn't get the gen. 1 version of these from Wyze without buying the camera/sense bundle sold by others. These gen. 2's are sh*t and and older version works better. I live in the Midwest so theres hot and cold seasons. You do need the home hub for these even though the packaging booklet also included bridge, which I assumed the camera bridge for cam vers. 1. These sensors won't sense you if you're bundled up for the winter. (Long sleeve, sweats, robes, or jacket) Coming home from work I entered my home. I attached the foyer sensor to also turn on the foyer lights. I stood in front of the sensor for minutes until the light turned on. I was still bundled up with my jacket, boots, gloves, etc: I guess my face got warm enough for it to sense me. If I had been a burglar... LOL It also didn't sense me when the heater was on. I followed directions to avoid lamps, 7ft up, and not on direct vent air flow. I was wearing shorts only this time. So it should sense my arms, face, chest, and legs. If I had been a burglar... LOL Also it's range of sensing seems to fall short. I have one in the living room and it doesn't sense me unless I'm 5ft away from it. So I had to install 2 sensors instead of 1. If I had been a burglar...LOL First gen. sensors were better at sensing and the refresh rate of their is better. I could be in the dining room eating dinner and first gen sensors still sensed me keeping the lights on while I eat. These second gen sensors turned off the lights while I was eating. I couldn't see my plate. If there had been a burglar... LOL ... show more

  • Not as good as the old ones.
Pattern Name: Sensor Style: Motion Sensor (1-Pack)
Sadly, mine is not nearly so responsive as the tiny ones that used the bridge in the back of a camera. With the larger size and everything you would think they would be better, but that doesn't seem to be the case. However, they do still eventually detect when I walk into a room and turn my lights on. ... show more

  • Too sensitive to be useful.
Pattern Name: Sensor Style: Motion Sensor (1-Pack)
I thought I could cover multiple entry points with one sensor. This device is too sensitive to leave actively monitoring. Not sure if it was light changes or plants swaying when the A/C turned on, but now it is a (rather poor) refrigerator decoration with monitoring turned off. Only useful in VERY still room. ... show more
