If like me you are trapped in the ADT alarm system ecosystem and have their Command keypad you know that those had power outages. And if you live far from a stable grid or just have had extended power outages or even just a few years from last battery replacement you probably need this. This is a direct replacement for the ADT battery. They’re not the easiest to find. In fact, I had ordered this to replace my battery just from time lapse as some of my sensors were identifying low battery notifications, so why not get everything on the same schedule? Good idea. I had ADT come out to make some changes and decided to have them replace the batteries (as much value as their monthly monitoring fees) as I just wanted it done right and tested, and they had everything except this Command battery in their truck. Had them in stall mine - watched.- litterally 30 seconds, so would take a novice maybe a minute. That easy, up and running, properly charging, and properly keeps the alarm running without grid power for some time at least. ... show more

Very easy installation. From 1-5 scale, it should be a 1 in terms of installation difficulty. It took me about 3 minutes to install it, and after reboot the system, the dead battery warning is gone. SO I assume the battery shipped fully charged. The battery itself is also a good fit to the ADT panels. Side by side comparion image attached. It's been working great since I installed it yesterday, and no more annoying system beep noise now. ... show more

This seems to fit the bill as a backup, and is easy to install. I tried it out, and also registered the voltage accuracy on my multimeter. Everything checks out and is a good deal for these types of batteries

I have an ADT security center with a Command center control panel that uses this battery for backup. When it failed this was a perfect fit. You just take 1 screw out of bottom and slide panel up. Then unplug old one and plug in new one.
