I bought it per my 9 year old’s request as he is currently super into HP series. My 9 year old soon found it to bee to tedious and difficult to put together. I wound up doing it on my own. It was frustrating yet strangely addicting to work on it. I’m not a big puzzle person, but found the process and especially the end result very satisfying. This was my first 3D Puzzle, it wasn’t too hard to assemble but did give me a little challenge. I read other reviews and I’m glad I decided to purchase it. There are a bunch of discard pieces with red dots on them with several still connected to the puzzle pieces. It can appear that the puzzle is partially put together but it’s not! Different from regular puzzles, you put together sections first, then go 3D. The instructions that came in the box were a little confusing but if you pull them up online, it showed the same instructions in color and I found that far more helpful. The best therapy for a weary tax return preparer! It's "only" 450 pieces, takes 6 - 8 hours to put together. This is the 4th Harry Potter-themed puzzle I bought, three of them are finished. My major problem is where to put them once they've been completed. I'll get that worked out, eventually. The trick with 3-D puzzles is being patient - it's so easy to assemble pieces when you see two or three that obviously go together. It isn't a bad thing, but they won't look like what you're looking for when the times comes to add them to the construction - especially if they're turned the wrong way! Smile. ... show more

For puzzle like this what you hate most is missing pieces but mine is fine. No missing pieces. Instruction has only shapes and no color so it is a bit challenges to find the right pieces. Once you do that, it is not hard to follow the instruction to put the pieces together. Overall, I like it. It is what I expected - not too easy but doable. This is my first 3d puzzle. But I had a difficult time getting my foggy brain wrapped around the difference in how to assemble. The puzzle must be done in a specific order and trying to jump around is I'll advised. Now, the pieces are cut perfectly and are very durable. The size of the pieces are big. Purchased this for my daughter's birthday. She is a Harry Potter fanatic and puzzle lover, so this seemed perfect. It comes with an instruction booklet, which was intimidating at first, but once she got the hang of it, this took her two days total to complete. She's 13, so I say it is well worth the money. My husband and I finished our burrow tonight! We had so much fun putting it together. We’re huge Harry Potter fans and plan to glue it together. The directions were adequate but still a bit challenging. The finished product was exactly as pictured. Putting the walls together at the end was a bit tricky but as easy as could be reasonably expected. We spent about six Days over two weeks working on it.
