    • Extra Thick Padded Mattress Pad and Protector
This pillow top mattress topper is the perfect addition to my memory foam mattress. I love the firmness and support that my mattress provides but wanted just a little more softness. I've tried adding a foam topper and it was a little too much. This extra thick fitted topper provides the perfect amount of comfort without making my bed more difficult to get out of. In addition to providing comfort, it does offer a bit of mattress protection as well. I have a waterproof protector but it makes my bed far too hot. While this topper isn't waterproof, it does provide protection from any sweat that might leak through my sheets and some protection from any light spills if were to spill a drink while in bed. The fabric top of the topper is very soft and the construction quality is quite good. The quilted channels will prevent the filling from wadding up while in the wash and the gusseted edges of the top assist in keeping the fill fluffy and airy. The netted fabric on the sides and fitted pockets that encase the sides of your mattress is stretchy and durable. It does not feel like it will tear easily while installing it on your bed. The elastic goes all the way around the entire opening of the topper. It's not as snug as I would like, considering my mattress is only 10" high. However, the topper does stay on my mattress securely. The topper has very deep pockets so it will definitely fit very thick mattresses or air mattresses very well. In my opinion this topper provides a good amount of comfort. While it's not anything like a foam topper, it's perfect for me. It's easily machine washed and dried, especially compared to waterproof protectors that trap water in the wash and come out soaking wet, and cooler to sleep on than waterproof toppers. I feel that the price is reasonable for the quality, comfort and mattress protection it provides. ... show more

This is not extra thick. It is as thick as a cheap thin comforter. It is nice looking and soft but the padded part does not cover the entire matress. I do not think it is the quality that was advertised and am glad i got it on sale.
