The texture is super soft, the backing of the rug has a great grip to keep my rug in place, and the colors are vibrant and provide a colorful pop in my living room. I’m not sure how it washes since I just got it a few weeks ago, but it is fairly lightweight compared to other rugs I’ve had, so I imagine it will fit in my washer when that time comes. I bought the 3X5 rug for my kitchen. I needed a large, washable rug that would not be a tripping hazard. So far it is exactly what I needed. It is comfortable under foot and absorbs the occasional splash from the sink. I had read the reviews that said it was difficult to get rid of the creases from being folded in shipping. I was able to get the creases out by putting it in the dryer on medium low, with a damp towel and a dryer sheet, for 10 minutes. It worked like a charm. I would have given 5 stars but for the way they ship. The rugs are not usable right out of the package. Hope this helps those people still struggling to get their rugs to lay flat.

These are beautiful rugs. I got the one for under the sink in my farmhouse kitchen and liked it so much I purchased another for in front of the fridge. I like having the matching set but the reason for 4 stars is the first one is starting to frau a tad along the front edge. So that had to be trimmed. Some may like the frayed look because these do look vintage.
